What was your first ever gaming console?

gameboy advance. while taking a vacation in the us we visited a cousin of mine who had a gameboy advance SP and he let me play it and the game was entertaining enough for little ol' me to request my mom to boy a GBA for me which she did regret till this day HAHAHA
she later on bought me a PSP and a DS (although the PSP was for my sister but we shared it)

Technically it was a Wii I won for a Comcast raffle during my college freshman year. I never had a console before since due to a eyesight issues (practically blind in my left) my mother tried to keep me from gaming (though computer games were a large part of how I connected to my dad earlier in life). My first conscious purchase was a PS4 in graduate school for Bloodborne - though I did get a hand me up DS from my little brother.

My first console was the Master System...I had the original (with the hidden snail game hidden within the console)

Fave games were Kenseiden, Zillion, Fantasy zone, Choplifter and Psycho Fox.
Memories of doing garden jobs to get money to buy Golden Axe,,,was disappointed by the MS version.

Bootleg NES console. It was all the rage here in the 90s as barely anyone could afford the real deal. xD

Also my parents used to own Atari (can't remember the model to save my life), but I was too little to remember actually playing it. I just remember being a spectator.

I dunno why i feel like this shows my age but yeah! i remember when the GBA SP had come out and we were all so hyped for a backlit screen and the ability to toggle it on or off (or high or low i havent looked at the one my bro gave me) but like the fact that that was such a big deal which nowadays is wholly expected is amusing

what was funky though is how careful you had to be with the worm light otherwise it'd fall apart or only work if u bent it a certain way? lol it was interesting

I got this for christmas after we moved. it was a sympathy concession, as my mom was pretty against video games. It was an awesome system. Took 6 batteries. I left it plugged in once, and the batteries melted inside, so i could only play it plugged in from then on. lol.

Super Mario bros was my first ever game too! I played it on the cheap knockoff PS1/NES fusion I've already mentioned, though. I remember all the times I played it with my older sister and it was a lot of fun!

Ah, the now useless skill of any child born in the 80s; being able to find channels and set up a games console on an old analogue TV. Also being able to set the timer on a VHS recorder.
