Yeah, it's in book and ebook form. You go to the H.G. Wells Competition website and there's an anthology that included the two winners (Junior Category (up to age 21) and adult category (upwards) as well as the finalists.)

I'mma be listed as Gloria Mesa because they got my pen name wrong lol. Lael is my middle name, I spell it Leyelle for marketing purposes, but they wrote my story as "Rain Dance by Leyelle."

The 1st story I remember writing was Janna and Jan't (pro. Jah-Nay). I was 4/5 at the time and my inspiration was that my sister knew a kid in her class named Jan't. It wasn't really about nothing, just the 2 girls running errands and going home.

At that age I didn't know the word "withdraw" nor did I know how to draw people getting money from the bank. I asked my sister for help and she drew them with guns, masks, and loot bags. She assumed "get money out the bank" = "rob the bank"

Unfortunately most of my early stories are lost to time and I'll never read it again

My first ever story, yeesh. How old was I when I first started writing? Maybe 14?

iirc, my first story I wrote was called "Angel of Darkness". Which was about a young man who, when he was younger, accidentally killed a girl whose body was left in a construction zone cause I don't remember why.
Then he grew to be an adult that had strange occurrences in his life, frequent nightmares and seeing things.
Eventually he found he was being haunted by the girl he killed. The nightmares served as a warning of things to come and he had to avoid it somehow.

I don't remember much from this story since it was written so long ago, but, it never reached a true ending.

My first ever story was a Star Wars fanfic and it was really bad, I wrote it in the
80s, my brother still makes jokes about it 40 years later

There were a handful of "books" that I wrote when I was 3 (with help from my mom) that were exactly as coherent as you might imagine. Most notable one was called "What A Good Day," which was about a red cat named Cat Bear who had a decidedly not good day where he was chased by a dog.

My first "official" story was actually a sort of prequel/starting point for the MC of my current webnovel. Originally it was a self-insert of my character, Conri, into a friend's story because she was (still is) in the process of writing her own trilogy series. The concept is based on years of short stories where the plot of that story was terribly flawed/jumped around, trope heavy, spelling/grammar errors, etc. but it had the same sort of themes of abusive ex, gang violence and read like an RP reply rather than a story LOL.

Flashforward YEARS to now, I think NULLED is on a much better track with a much clearer idea regarding how/where I want to take Conri as a character, especially since he's been around for such a long time. (He deserves it lol)

Well, my first novel isn't the one I'm currently publishing. I'm currently planning on publishing it when I finish the current one because this older work has many flaws LOL and holes in the plot, so I'm taking my (poor and scarce) time to trim it. I wrote it during the pandemic, and I finished two volumes in 2023 - and two halves of volumes 3 and 4, plus extras and side stories -, buuut... yeah, I messed up the storyline, and now I'm having a hard time fixing things, but oof! It's worth it!
It's a way darker story that tells about Heavens and Lucifer's fall - a very brief summary. I'm excited to post it when I finish my dear "Complex Love" web novel

I have always brainstormed ideas for stories as a kid. I have insomnia so I would come up with these stories to help pass the time at night when I could not sleep. When Pokemon was first released, I thought up a world inspired by it but filled with my own "original" Pokemon. Some could talk to humans and some had more humanoid forms. It was sort of a slice of life of people just living in this small rural town and the conflicts of humans vs. monsters.

My favorite character was this thing which I called BB Jr.
