A couple of episodes here and there. I remember it being really funny but it was hard to find when I was little.

Then you're in for a treat. It's just as funny and subversive to the genre as when it came out... like, 20 years ago. Wow, when did I get so old? XD

Yeah, that thought of someone picking it up and doing a forced quickie on t's dev is pretty much worse than them cancelling it, but I do hope Kojima continues on the path..

Ico is a masterpiece, truly a work of art, I haven't played (yet) SOTC u...u, and I'm waiting, maybe someday we will see The Last Guardian T.T

Inspiration huh? Probably the best kindling for my fire was general life pressures. I just graduated college and finally got a freelance job after several months of job hunting. I didn't enjoy that job much even though it was pretty close to what I wanted to do out of college. Well that job crumbled when my boss stopped paying everyone on the team due to his own shady problems. Anyway, I instantly found a new part time job that I didn't like, but you know...bills.

On my days off I was stuck home alone while my boyfriend was at work. I felt a creeping sadness growing in me like moss on a rock. I wanted a way to escape the frame work capitalistic society has ensnared my boyfriend and me, limiting our resources to grow and establish a reliable future. I craved to be in nature, despite never really having any outdoor experience more than a couple camping trips as a young child. I was also listening to many new Youtube and rap artists at the time so I just sat there and marinated in their music.

I decided to write down these emotions of helplessness and anger in the rough form of a narrative. It was quite the experience! I just let the trapped feelings out without anyone to judge, crying, laughing, sick with rage, and many other intense emotions. With time and effort, it eventually turned into Visceral.

Here were some of the musical sparks I drew from:
Elements - Lidnsey Stirling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf6LD2B_kDQ
Worldwide Choppers - Tech N9ne https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GhbkrOg9gA
Slave - Tech N9ne https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-1Kj-xpgpE

Masochist - Pendulum https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF1rD0uB3S4
Suffocate - Eligh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8AVuwPcOYg
Rock Bottom - Caspa and Rusko https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0n2wy2Ah_U
Boogie Man - Grieves https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY5h74toqC4
Kocky - Tech N9ne https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDpx1B-O02E

There were so many more songs but you get the idea...

Hmm, my biggest influence in style is based on a Japanese art form called Haiga: Haiga are typically painted by haiku poets (haijin), and often accompanied by a haiku poem.[1] Like the poetic form it accompanied, haiga was based on simple, yet often profound, observations of the everyday world.

Content infulence would defintely be people like Craig Thompson, Emi Lennox, and old school Japanese manga artists like Yoshihiro Tatsumi, Shigeru Mizuki, and graffiti. My comic is at http://tapastic.com/series/Tower251

Hello everyone, my name's Shobo, I'm one half of Coker CoOp (the writing half!)

My brother and I created Outcasts of Jupiter1, and we're getting ready to start publishing a spin-off called Under a Jovian Sun, next month. Our inspiration for the former was stuff like:

  • Conan
  • Asterix and Obelix
  • Firefly
  • Tintin P
  • Parker
  • Blacksad
  • Hellboy

And a whole bunch more, but those are probably the primary inspirations.

I live in Croatia, that's small country nearby Italy. So I'm mostly influenced by anything from italian Bonelli comics.

My comic hasn't launched yet (working on that buffer yo) but I'm always super inspired by music I hear that reminds me of my story, Arcade Fire (!!!!) Mother Mother, Jonsi, Iron and Wine and Of Monsters and Men are a couple artists whose sound just really resonates with it. Especially Arcade Fire's No Cars Go.
That said I'm also super inspired by Monster Pulse, Prague Race and Paranatural right now, all great webcomics that I'm sure a lot of people have heard of. I always get so pumped reading Prague Race specifically just because Leppu has major design skills that add so much to the fantasy aspect of the story.

Obviously Marie Antoinette and aristocracy in 18th century France was a huge inspiration, I really just wanted to see a fantasy story that took place in a time period after the 1600s.

Bee and Puppycat, Clarence and Steven Universe really inspires my art style and definitely influences my humor, I love that cartoons can be humorous through art style as well as scripts.

I'm a huge fan of magical girl anime and cartoons too, as well as Lolita fashion, so those really influenced me too.
