I woke up to having a bad dream about 4 am this morning and it gave me an idea! Time to answer this burning question!

I’m okay btw. It was just very anxiety inducing though.

What would your characters be having bad dreams about?

Elsie would likely have bad dreams of falling or her wings breaking and then her falling. The sensation would feel real!

Ernest, of course, would have bad dreams of the day he lost his leg. Which he doesn’t want to talk about. Besides that, he would have bad dreams of the fae and all the things fairies do to humans. Possibly another one is having his base flooded.

Rosemary would most likely have bad dreams of Scarborough or her mother, but also causing irreversible damage with her super strength, being told she’s a freak.

Roy… well you know Roy. He’s very anxiety prone, so who knows what his subconscious would come up with. Probably Elsie getting hurt or he finds her dead, getting really sick, drowning in water, bugs… poor guy.

Oooh! I'm planning on having some vivid nightmares for my chars, tho I don't know when.

Alec would probably have nightmares revolving around his family, seeing his dead wife, losing Luke or Angel to tragedy. Typical father stuff, really.

Aldi's would be common stuff like being naked and laughed at or being chased.

Luke would have nightmares of failure or about his dad.

Jaime would probably have nightmares of trying to fight something or someone off.

Bucky may not have nightmares at all (he's pretty chill rn), but I'll think of something, hehe.

Friar would probably have dreams of being sent to a hellish type place and endure the suffering of himself and his flockmates while the Providers stand aside and watch O.O

And Gallus...he'd be fighting larger-than-life predators and kicking ass and loving it XD

Carmen (me) to this day still has nightmares about high school. I graduated thirty-four years ago and I still have dreams where I don’t know what “day” on the schedule it is, or which class I’m supposed to be in right now, or that I’ve missed so much time that the teacher doesn’t recognise me, or that I’ve forgotten where my locker is.

Thirty-four years!

At the start of Defining Daecon, Daecon’s biggest fear would have been to wake up ugly. Seriously, the guy was just so shallow and vapid. He’s grown a lot over the course of the story, though, and his biggest fear now would be that he’s as terrible a leader as his predecessor (not his father, but the last Dunamis before him, 4000 years ago. This character has not yet been named in the story, but he has done awful things.)

Well funny you should mention that 'cuz Chapter 03 will feature just such a scene hehe.

Here's a little taste of what is to come:

Oh! I like your art style! Subbed! @Rai_Muffin this is not a sub4sub btw I just like your art that’s why I subbed. Best wishes!

Ok so my main character (Bella) would probably have nightmares about night-mares (shady ghost horses) lol :joy:

You know what? I actually might make an episode on this. :+1:thanks @abigaillmartin you really helped my brain gears get turning.

One of my characters already had a nightmare decades before she met and raise the MC. Her name is Midha.

She was stolen away from her parents and raised as a successful assassin (Hashashin), but despite her successful spree, there was one mission where she could've looked into for better details on what she was facing. One she regret ignoring the information.

At first, she thought it was a group of bandits and rushed into the house to wipe them out in the dark. Hashashins are blessed with the ability to see in the dark but it does not give a clear image on what they see. All they could see are white moving figure in a black background with white strings to reveal objects.

So it wasn't clear what she was seeing, but after hearing the crying pain of a woman, she stopped her killing spree in confusion. It was later that the moon light reveals that what she was sent to kill were not some bandits but families.

Later, she would hear foot steps getting closer and her instinct took over her to throw a dagger at it. Only to discover it was just a little girl.

Seeing the family she killed reminds her of her past, the past of which the hashashins robbed her away.

She would later recover barely, not by herself but with the help of a man who would unbeknownst to her that befriending the man would lead her to at least her mother. The father died of natural cause.

Of course, since she can't escape her duty of being a hashashin she continues her missions, and would later meet one that felt so familiar, one she dreaded.

After that previous family slaughter, Midha becomes more observant. Analyzing on what she was facing before taking decisive actions. It's clear that she doesn't want to commit such an act, again. Couldn't think of a plan to succeed without killing them, she decided to sleep and think about it tomorrow. Only for her to be in a nightmare.

I'll leave you a link on what happens next:

If you want to know how she'll succeed without assassinating the family, here is the link:

Sorry to hear about your 4 am bad dream, and glad you ok :muscle:

This entire episode sums it up for Owen.
Owen's discovery of himself being hazardous to other humans, missing his family (currently stranded from them), the fear that he can also infect his family with his virus if he gets near them are thoughts that appear to plague him mental state.

He's a 12 year old boy still transitioning between kid and teen, given how the episode plays out, it seems he especially misses his mom, she likely sheltered/babied him, in this dream she offers to take him home when he falls asleep inside car.

He doesn't appear to fully trust his gas powers either so he'll eventually have a dreams where his powers work against him eg. dissolving into atmosphere and unable to return to human form

Yeah I was in a very weird liminal space in the dream and I was eating a chocolate cake it was really weird. I felt suffocated and that triggered my anxiety so I had to tell myself to wake up.

I think I was in The Backrooms :sob::sob::sob: which I’m scared of. It was weird

Probably something I ate a few hours before I don’t know what it was man.

I spent the next two hours just looking at pictures of Harry Houdini and that calmed me down a bunch.

Very freaky.

Anyway… ummmm.

I learned Houdini was claustrophobic. Possibly.

So his bad dream would be the time in his youth when he almost drowned. That’s the accepted story at least of possibly what triggered it.

He’s not an oc I know I know but I find him FASCINATING! It’s no secret.

He used his fear to motivate himself that he could get out that there is a way out. That is inspiring!

Hmmm I’ll do Cracking Eggs next.

Winston… getting yelled at by Gordon Ramsey definitely.

Wellington. All the negative voices coming to him, how he could’ve saved his wife, his son Julian he worries about him.

Eric. Absolutely bad dreams about what The Egg Washers did to him. But other than that, losing his mother or Winston getting hurt.

Pujita. As a parent, any of her kids getting hurt or lost or worse.

Jack. It’s definitely Mr. Fine firing him or something. All his insecurities filling his mind.

Jake. Just scary monsters. Yah know what kids are typically scared of.

I’ve been wanting to release new content for this series, I just don’t have the time.

Damn that's wild you dreamt you were in backrooms. I've always been a sucker for watching those backroom gameplays on youtube. They always say dreams based on subconscious, maybe an interior you passed by in RLgot registered in your subconscious as a creepy backrooms, who knows lol Yep weird combo indeed with the chocolate cake too, TG no creepy monsters were present.
Harry Houdini sounds like awesome calming strategy then  awesome drawing and didn't know he was claustrophobic given the risky magic tricks he was known for, true the almost drowning incident sounds possible trigger.
