What's the hardest thing to draw?

Hands. Hands and backgrounds are my biggest issues. I've been trying to work on them privately but it's an endless struggle. I hope getting into drawing comic pages on a regular basis helps me a little with that.

I share the pain of drawing backgrounds and anything man-made ;A; (architecture, transport, furniture, etc)
drawing backgrounds at all is tedious and draining but I'm getting a little better at natural landscapes at least.
There's some angles and perspective I still have trouble with too.
And I also have trouble with drawing guns (swords tend to look a lil weird but guns are the worst XD)

oh my goodness I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THIS ONE BUT THIS IS TOTALLY TRUE. like, oh, food isn't hard to draw, right? It's easy!! BUT THEN IT HAS TO LOOK TASTY OR ELSE IT'S WEIRD. and what do people even eat!! I can barely figure out what I want to have for dinner and I gotta figure out a culturally appropriate dinner for all my characters??? geez man

For me, I don't have much trouble drawing hands. I have much more trouble drawing wrists. those radial and ulna bones do some pretty crazy stuff. It sucks drawing a good hand but then it's connected to a gimp wrist.

I'm actually quite confident with background. For me it's FEET.

I curse feet. I hate feet. Unlike hands, oft cited as the biggest bugbear to draw, it's much harder to use your own feet as a handy (heh) reference. I've recently started using Poser for some difficult angles, but I've found myself breaking it out more and more for feet. Feet, I stink at drawing feet.

Grayscaling. It always seems like it will never end. Then I'm done with the grayscale and I still have 75% of the work to do. It just seems to go so slowly! I notice not many people do full color comics like I do though. I always felt like color was just...necessary. Does it add or detract from a story, do you think?

Definitely feet... I hate feet. So much. Why do they even exist? Why did I make a comic where everyone wears sandals? Why do I do these things to myself???

Depends on the story. If you have gloomy, dark, noire styled comic, grayscale is perfect, it adds to the story. Color can be basically used everywhere in my opinion, comedies, romances, superheroes, zombies. Just look at marvel or DC or The Walking Dead. They are handling pretty well. Any of the technique can only add some charm to your story.

circles. Traditionally, I can draw you a mean circle. As soon as I try it digitally, it looks like an old lumpy potato. Tried fixing settings, re-calibrating to the moon, but nope I just suck at drawing them with technology.

I find environments and buildings/cars/rains hardest, because most of my life I've been avoiding them. Or maybe saying it's HARD is wrong, I can do them, but it just takes more time and effort than something that I've been drawing for years.

Depends from what site, you can always wrap it and adjust window to the wall. Of course you will need to draw a few extra lines to make it more 3D. But generally, yea, many windows are pain.

There are many challenges to draw out there! Lately I have learned that liquid things, like blood, are hard to make look right. But my biggest challenge is coloring a reflection at night traditionally. I never realized how much planning that one needed! O_O
