Hi there! I just joined a few days ago and I'm in the process of uploading a comic series that I've been drawing for the last few months, "Veronica & Mona". It ended up surprisingly popular on Twitter, so I was hoping to share it here as well! That said, the comic is very much "adult" humor - not the sort of thing people should be reading at work. Many of the jokes are sexual in nature, as the two titular characters have comically-large body proportions (top-heavy and bottom-heavy, respectively).

In addition, I've marked the comic as "Mature", but I'm unsure if this is actually what the Mature tag is intended for. While the comic is certainly lewd, there's never any full-on nudity or sex shown. Am I using the tag wrong? Worst yet, does using the Mature tag like this lower the chances of my work being seen by others?

Thanks for reading! Here's the comic itself for reference:

Yup, the mature tag does hurt and stiffles growth to quite a few series. To the point where a few noticed thier episode not showing up when they update as soon as its tagged as mature. It was called a glitch... but that """glitch""" is still present to this day so..yeah

Which is why I usually advise (at least for novelists) to only use that tag when ABSOLUTLY needed (like full blow sex scene or gorey stuff)

Im not too sure about the comis which I know is alot stricter. Like you can get away with more here than one webtoons but the actual guidlines Im unsure and experienced with

For if you can get away with more here than on webtoon - only if you're fine with you're series being off the app. I'd say, for the app you have to censor more than for webtoon, that was at least my experience with trying to post version of my comic censored to what was getting a pass on webtoon as an app available version here. Got an email with a single panel as an example and got told to go through whole series and censor it like this

I second this. About 30 episodes in tapas contacted me and gave me a list of stuff I had to change to be on the App. None of it was sexual in any way, but they have rules. They pulled my comic off the app until I changed it. Note: in my description for the comic it says it's a pg-13 comic. But to be on the app they are pretty strict.

Well shoot, I was thinking about maybe removing the Mature tag since there isn't any actual nudity, but maybe it'd be best to play it safe (or at least only tag the particularly-risque pages)
