Carole of the Bells by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. My mom would play it Christmas morning to indicate it was time to wake up to open presents as a child. She would turn the bass all the way up and our subwoofers would make the house shake. It's a great memory for me.

Holy Night from Toradora anime, by the time I watch it, it was sometime in summer but I love it a lot, spam it every year.

Probably Feliz Navidad, because I can't help but sing or hum along every time I hear it. Either that, or Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, because one of my favourite Christmas memories is snuggling up in my parent's bed as a child to watch the 1964 movie when it played on TV.

This one. I don't really like the lyrics, but I've loved the melody of it ever since I was a kid. And you know, this is the heavy version since this is finland.

Then of course not technically a christmas song, but to every european it is just that. I was so surprised when I heard you guys over the puddle don't do the whole "watch snowman every christmas" thing

(Also the nightwish version because I grew up with this, my dad burned this on my first ever cd when I was like 6 years old)

Honestly once the holidays roll around I just fall in headfirst especially when it comes to Christmas tunes!
I'm a really big sucker for the classics like this one is the first to be played at my house to say "hey, holidays are here!"

My 'rents got me to fall in love with Frank

Bing Crosby's just so smooth and I really just love the sound of this one

and I thrive on Nat King Cole

and then I really like the rocking ones like this, even if it's a bit more of a swing song I guess

or this one

but I really adore this one by The Waitresses

but above all I really like the orchestral ones like Carol of the Bells and just about anything from the Nutcracker but Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy especially, most notably the Pentatonix cover

So I guess my answer is all of them

I love Carol of the Bells too! My dad sings in a choir, and I went to a lot of their Christmas concerts. Love their version, but this one is a close secound in lack of the first

I love Carol of the Bells, because it FEELS like winter; the falling of snowflakes in the melody, the frost in the kinda hushed voices, the rising wind and the mix of an excited waiting and melancholy.

In Denmark there is tradition for every December that tv makes a 24 episode show about christmas, an all time favorite of mine is the ones with Pyrus, a young nisse living in the Danish state archives mucking things up, like accidentally erasing christmas or wiping Santa's memory.

There's also some great songs in it xD

Another one is about a group of nisser that travel to Greenland (because Santa lives in Greenland for Danes, not the North Pole) to help Santa making toys, because he has to go on a secret mission before Christmas. It's beautiful, and the music there is also great and full of nostalgia for me^^

Oh gosh, totally weird, the music video and song itself are hilarious, but Don't Shoot me Santa by The Killers. My family loves it too and we always listen to it in the mix while decorating our tree, ahaha, it's kind of a weird family tradition now but I love it.

I am not a huge fan of cheerful Christmas songs but I love the more melancholy ones. Luckily I'm from Finland, so there's no shortage of those.

This one has been one of my faves since childhood. I think it might be originally from France? But the Finnish version, especially this a cappella one, is stunningly beautiful.

A song about an elf not being able to sleep and walking around all alone. Good stuff. (I should mention that Finnish elves are very different from the elves in usual Christmas stories. It's not really about a Santa's elf but a regular Finnish elf, so to speak.)

This song is about missing home. The Sylvia in the song is a bird locked in a cage.
