Tell us about the main character of your story and their defining trait.

My story is The God of Summer Storms. And my main character is Drake. He's a young man who's lost two families and countless friends. But I'd say his defining trait is his conviction. No matter what, once he decides to do something he does it. He knows there are few things in life he can control so he has strong conviction in things he can. Sure it leads to extreme situations, but it takes extreme circumstances to make Drake turn around.

I'd say that despite being a narcissistic ass, Naota is adaptable. He's willing to go above and beyond just to get some stick ladies. He studies the world around him and makes the best of a situation even if its for vain reasons. Not only that, but this very trait will go on to define his character in the future.

At this point in the story, Donnie has become so desperate to end the "psychotic crisis" he's going through, that he will trust pretty much ANY advice his plush toy, or his friend give him to end it, even if it sounds like a completely stupid idea.

Well, Fresh's second most defining trait is for sure his willpower. It's the only thing stopping his parasite from running rampant. Primarily, though, it's his colorful personality. By one hundred miles.

Eliza's trait is she is trying to make friends around her happy. Although she is the one have the saddest past. And she'll keep anyone close to her safe from danger.

Baul's main trait is being disconnected. She is doesn't belong. This leaves her with little to no empathy for anyone but a very few people in her life.

Apple's defining trait is his eagerness for validation. Because of his accident-prone nature, he has this urgent need for acceptance from his peers and his elders--which usually results in disaster.

Grape's defining trait is his rambunctious personality. He grew up living on the edge in a dangerous city. Having to move to peaceful Cardinal Valleys, he's now desperate for a chance of excitement, whether it's wielding an axe in a comic book store or picking a fight with a bully.

I think their friendship is built on reliance. Grape's loyalty gives Apple hope to keep moving forward while Apple's optimism gives Grape comfort to being homesick. I think that's why they're such good friends.

407's been through a lot, and due to his experiences with his abusive family he has a hard time seeing anything wrong with his new father (literally a cult leader) because he's so incredibly nice to him.

He tends to be pretty quiet and tries to avoid conflict. He does tend to ask questions, but will accept the first answer given to him. This makes him very susceptible to the cult unfortunately.

Alya F2243 really really wants some action in their life. Sure, people get murdered fairly often around them and they are often a target of those murderers but constantly living in dread gets boring sometimes, they want the kind of drama they see in those soap operas they watch when they hack into their corporate overlord's sci-fi netflix account, the kind that has romance and heart and punching bastards without immediately getting lobotomized and shoved into a jar for organ harvesting.

They want the kind of drama where they get laid.

Leon's most standout feature is his undying idealism. He's mystified fairly easily, both by his surroundings and by people. Unlike his crewmates, he has no experience with space whatsoever, so his POV gives me a chance to color his surroundings as fresh and new. No matter what he's been through, he tends to keep his head up! But this is also a flaw. He's so idealistic that sometimes he doesn't take action when he should, believing things will work out on their own. Also he gives a few too many chances to people he probably shouldn't.

He's also the first POV character, so if you want to get a better feel for him, you can right away if you click the link. ;D

The main character is the titular one named: "Lyza"

Lyza uses her physical strength and can manipulate sand with attacks to protect her brother, Ethan, and her driver, Markin, or anyone who needs it from the dangers of this world. She fights tough villains and looks good and badass in doing so. Even with her fighting spirit, Lyza is kind and can also forgive former enemies and still protect them if there are bigger dangers ahead.

I debated this for a while, and I think Adi's defining character trait is just her straight up titanium-hard Will. You could call her stubborn, but it's broader than that. She's a survivor, she doesn't like being told 'no', and she will hold a grudge until the heat death of the universe. If she wants something, she will work for it as long as it takes, or pursue it to the ends of the earth. There's just something in her that refuses to quit. Even when she probably should.

Hmm... This is a tough one! ._.

I really can't boil any of my four main characters down to just one word. But if I had to, I think it'd be these.

Kassia's is 'empathy'. It's her core motivation and strength, but also a weakness in that she loves too deeply in a dangerous world prone to martyring the people she cares about. Her overprotectiveness, intense fear of loss, distance from others, need for control, and anxiety all stem from this.

Nora's is 'passion'. She has strong emotions, desires, and ideals. These give her energy and drive, but can also cause her to act childishly or recklessly when she fails to control her emotions. Pragmatism doesn't come easy to her- she will (almost) always choose to follow her heart over her head.

Den's is 'control'. His life is defined by rigid structure and discipline, and he tolerates nothing that strays from his strict personal code of "right and wrong"- where what's "right" is anything that increases his family's power and social status and what's "wrong" is anything that threatens it. At its best, his desire for control makes him a strong, determined leader... At its worst: callous, power-hungry, and stubbornly close-minded.

Beyren's is 'idealism'. He's good-natured, has a childlike sense of wonder and love of life, and wants to be an archetypal self-sacrificial hero. His dreams and ideals are his driving motivation, but also cause him to come off as carelessly optimistic and easygoing, an air-headed dreamer.

In summary: empathy, passion, control, and idealism :]

One of my story's central characters. His defining trait currently would be his sense of duty. As an android, he is programmed to protect any human(s) that come under his care (known as charges) along with his secondary mission of finding the root cause for others of his kind going rampant. His sense of duty plays into his devotion to whatever cause or individuals he sees as worth giving himself toward which later plays a part in many of his choices within the narrative.

So the green guy is Feith Dralón a young magician with great potential, but low initiative, he never dares to make decisions that may put him into an emotional backlash, but that is something that he needs to change, especially when he finds out that not only consequences awaits for him, but also rewards. He is probably the most fragile character in the cast and as the MC his journey will be a challenge.

My main character's name is Mukhtar, he never knew his real family nor his tribe. He was raised by a new tribe, who thought him to be selfless which give him the trait of humility. He would help others and do chores to earn as the breadwinner of the family despite being a preteen yet wealth and fame were never on his mind, however, he is diligent in his work and he would finish what he started even if it gets him in danger or serious self-harm which is bad but it did make a dependable 11-year-old.

My Main girl, Pandora, has greyd skin, and the front parts of her hair look liked layers of an ocean, (Sunlight zone, twilight zone, ect...) This is a common triat of her race Shakli, although her having greyed skin is not. Their skin, becomes more 'humane' the more they are around them.

Chion is a fun-loving and carefree boy who wants to get work done qucik and then have fun.
Kobi is shy but adventurous guinea pig curious about her surroundings and new places she explores. She can be anxious in tense situations, but also stays at Chion's side. She's loyal to her owner.

For Volken, I'd say his strongest trait is his perseverance. As tough and scary as things could get while traveling the LOSTLAND, if he's gotta push through it, he will. He's also got the visual acuity of an eagle

Meri is a very creative problem-solver. Out of the four main characters, she's usually the first to come up with unexpected ways around complicated problems. This makes Meri's Shaper Trick, changing the shape and element of things she touches, a perfect match for her.
