Mmmm my style?... well maybe chibi-cartoon, I don't know if that is the style of my comic Angry & Happ8. I get inspired by Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny cartoons. And I tried to draw something like manga/anime style but I got some problems with the proportion, especially with hands and feets >.<

I think like a lot of people I started off emulating anime/manga when I really became interested in drawing, prior to that when I was 10 or so I drew a lot of anthros, mostly inspired by kids shows, mainly Arthur. But as I aged I realized there was much more out there so my style evolved and adopted more realistic proportions. Then again I still have a range of styles within my own style. Here's where it stands currrently http://joannekwan.tumblr.com/tagged/best11

When I'm drawing comics, I can't help but to go for the cutesy manga look, I think it just fits my stories. When I'm drawing illustrations though, I like a more realistic look

For my comic, Ingunn Comics7, I do both simple and cute drawings, as well as more realistic stuff. I just decided that I was going to do whatever I wanted with that comic. It might come off as inconsistent, but that's a risk I was willing to take...I like trying different things, and I'm more looking to find the right expression for each story, rather than trying to make everything look the same. For a longer story I would definitely be more consistent, but for the type of comic I'm doing now, variety helps keep me motivated to keep creating smile

My style varies depending on the strip. Sometimes I go for simplified looking people like in this strip: Peppermint Helmet - Wishing Well5

Other times I do a more realistic style and this is closer to how my longform work would/will look: Peppermint Helmet - Branding6

One of the reasons I'm doing this gag strip is that it allows me to play with styles from strip to strip and draw whatever strikes my fancy. It's also a good testing ground for different inking styles, experiments in coloring etc.

uhhhh it honestly depends on whose looking at my work. I've been told I'm Disney, Anime, and Dreamworks. As well told often that my 'style' would work better for animation and the like. I personally take influence from the animators James Baxter1, Richard Williams1, and comic artist Fiona Staples2 if you want big shot names. For smaller ones I take a LOT of inspiration from Jennedale4, Chira2, and Kisskicker/Hellcorpceo.3 I honestly could list a LOT more but that would make an even longer post.

My 'style' revolves heavily around the use of color, expressions, and body language. Probably due to the fact I wanted to go in to animation for a very very long time and only have been dwelling in comics for the past couple of years. I try to experiment a lot and have taken up oil and watercolor painting due to this. I even sew costumes and paint dolls. xD BUT ANYWAY here are some examples of what my art looks like regularly.

Illustrations:

sketches:

and the occasional lineless

my comic pages are usually a bit of a speedier illustration work.

sorry for the long post aha!

I can definitely see some Fiona in that top illustration. Gorgeous work.

Dang, guys. If you can't describe it, show us a picture of it.

Anime/manga style : P
I can't really point out an existing style that looks exactly the same as mine, but I think my style is fairly generic LOL I am still in the process of developing my style as I go. Here are some examples:

@goenn, wow, I like your style. And your drawings are like... I don't know how to explain. Did you study in art school or was that just a natural hobby? smiley

@keac nah, no art school. I learned by reading manga and through lots and lots of tutorials. (I'd love to go to art school but they are kinda expensive ^^;;)

@goenn, I would like to see those tutorials, but I'm too lazy. I hope it could work on me too in order too improve ^_^.
My art gets crappy if I use a ballpen.
