Sassy villains are the best.
Two "damaged" people help each other become better or a popular person befriending weak, insecure person.I'm also very soft for stories like Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Love their chemistry
I love badass one-liners, even the cheesy ones that involve puns related to the situation.
I love the very very skilled person who is extraordinarily drunk cliché.
Something about seeing people trying to perform their skills while inebriated is so appealing to me. I've been writing a piece about a hitman who has to fight after 6 straight days of drinking early in the story. I had a lot of fun with it.
I'm sorry-- But--When scary characters are big softies---i literally cant---
The whole opposites attract cliche is something I'm a huge sucker for.
Enemies to lovers
MMMM love me a good villain redemption plot
This thread gives me an idea... how about enemies -> villain redemption -> lovers?
YES it could be like atla’s katara/zuko plot actually brought to fruition
yeah I like the whole love triangle my self. he say she say situation. DRAMA like some of the Soap opera. but I do enjoy action from time to time.I really try to avoid cliche honestly, because it's a tricky thing. and I want to capture as many readers as I can so I tend to go for a more original idea and I try to think outside the box. even though the genre I'm currently working on is gay romance, my main character has a lot more body weight compared to what is mostly seen in the yaoi genre. and I do believe that that was me thinking outside the box because it isn't common, or at least I haven't seen it as much.
When the person with the huge muscles is /ACTUALLY/ the biggest nerd in the story!
Enemies to Lovers Opposites AtractLove trianglesAll the mushy romance cliches get me every time
what about the “I need you to pretend to be my partner so my ex will leave me alone, oh no we actually fell in love” cliche
10/10 best cliche especially when it's a couple of gays and the 'ex' is the opposite gender.
And the one friend, helping the other friend get away from their ex, is flamboyant af everytime said ex every-sinGLE-TIME they are around!
I am terrified, but intrigued by whatever this is.
I like the 'dizzy cute blond' and the 'feisty short person' cliche. Also the 'misunderstood monster' kind of a character is very appealing to me
I feel terrible that I use all three types, but I really like them (and enjoy seeing them in other's work too )
Broken people being fixed slightly by finding a companion/love interest.
