What's your favorite video game series? Any you'd like to get into?

I used to be into video games, but I was always more of a plot person than a pure gaming sort. I think Star Ocean is probably the only game I've had a long lasting love affair with. It was really fun, and pretty gosh darn artsy - animations everywhere, whew.

I've since kind of seeped out of that life, but I have a friend who is super into Dragon Age, and I've recently been debating grabbing the game just to see what's up. She's told me so much that I have my own personal favorites and plot lines I want to visit within the game. It's weird, and I'm unsure how I feel about it.

I'm a huge nerd for Sports Games of all kinds. But for RPG styled stuff, I really enjoy old school games like The Bard's Tale and Wasteland, as well as the turn-based versions of the Fallout series, Baldur's Gate and other D&D based games.

I love games with a good story, like Bastion and those indie rpg horror games.
That said, I also love any kind of survival games. Nothing's better than freezing to death alone in a dark forest with nothing but your underwear! (:D)

I'm a Nintendo fanboy. I love Mario, Zelda, and Metroid (I'm currently playing the Prime Trilogy). But also play Rayman, Dead Space, Kingdom Hearts, Bioshock, Sly Cooper, and Epic Mickey (the first one is pure gold, the second is meh).
My fav genres are platformers and action/adventure, but I also like horror. I'm slowly getting better at turn-based rpg's, but I've only ever finished the Mario 'n Luigi games and Child of Light.
I'd like to get into stealth-based games like Metal Gear, but with Zelda Wii U coming out this year, I doubt I'll be able to play anything else.

I like Animal Crossing and Kirby and Portal, and my favorite indie is Limbo.

Although, if I had the right consoles I'd love to get into the Persona games....

I really like.... Dragon Age, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Bioshock Infinite (I love this game so much), Kingdom Hearts (only part one. I don't really care about the rest lol), the Sims series, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil HD remake, The Walking Dead by Telltale, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, Zelda: Windwaker, Zelda: Twillight Princess, Shenmue, the Ace Attorney series, the Devil May Cry series, the Onimusha series, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the Soul Calibur series.... It's... I just realised it's a lot.

I really want to play The Last of Us, GTA 5, The Evil Within, Game of Thrones by Telltale, Tomb Raider by Squeenix and Skyrim. I've got these games lying around in my apartment and laptop but I have no time to play them... T_T

To add to my list the Metal Gear series and Tales of series are also huge favorites of mine, Pokemon is also one that's I'm more than happy it jump into. Rune Factory series (spin off of Harvest Moon series) also destroys my time very effectively. Kingdom Hearts is another hit and miss title but I think overall I would like it enough to say it's still one of my favs regardless. Uncharted series is also one that I really got into. Ratchet and Clank is another one that I like, but didn't actually discover until the PS3. Borderlands game were also a heck of a lot of fun, and I usually do not like first person games. Phantasy Star is another but I need to stay away from it, I tend to easily get addicted to games with MMO's setups, once that happens good bye comic updates.

I'm not even gonna go into stand alone titles, I'm already having a hard enough time picking and choosing from the many series that I like.

Also I think I'm always going to have a soft spot for Sonic games, even though a lot of them are subpar or just flat out horrible. I don't have to like all the games to still like the series.

Haha yes, those games are awesome : D Actually, I love rhythm games in general, also love Gitaroo Man, Hatsune Miku Project Diva (really excited to see Project Mirai finally get here!), Parappa, Taiko, Harmoknight, Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan and just... RHYTHM GAMES MAN, RHYTHM GAMES

My top favourite are Zelda games and Okami. Deep feelings while playing them, something I won't have with a lot of games.
I really like puzzle games like Professor Layton and Ace Attorney, so when the spin of comes out, I was like a 5 years old girl screaming "Yihaaaa" in front of my computer. Also love the Fire Emblem series, Tellius games are my favourites ones. (and of course, Pokemon. I'm happy it's still really popular, so I can have easy connexions with my young students !).

I think I've always wanted to get into the Elder scrolls games, but I have some motion sickness for some games, and plus I don't have much time left for games anymore...
Also want to play Child of light. Too much good games, one life can't be enough to play 'em all.

I've played Child of Light and beat it. I've got to say, the story is amazing, the artwork is amazing, the RPG elements are the most unique I've seen in a long while, and the music, although can be a bit repetitive, never gets old. When you hear that main melody, you can feel tears almost well up. This game is 9/10 for me, and would've been 10/10 if not for the kinda rushed ending sequence and a few mechanics. I was saddened that after you finish off one thing you suddenly have to go against another without time to prepare. I beat it, but it left a "what the heck" moment in my mouth. For those who have finished Child of Light, you may agree with me that there should've been some sort of final dungeon area before the final boss.

Well, I fell in love with the Uncharted series, for a reason I can't explain. It just... happened. The genres that I most hate are the shooters and the plataforms... and Uncharted is mostly about that.

I'm going to be really boring and say Final Fantasy

FF VI is (was?) a wonderful game. I enjoyed that every character has a diferent game system, which made the gameplay very rich.

My top favourite are Zelda games and Okami. Deep feelings while playing them, something I won't have with a lot of games.

Recently I've been playing Okami. It's really something else.

My favorite video game series hands down is Mortal Kombat. I have a lot of games that I like and play, but that is my absolute favorite. My first memories as an artist is trying to draw Sub-Zero at like age 3. I even had the old Malibu MK comics. Violence aside, I find Mortal Kombat and it's willingness to think outside the box very inspiring. Little known comic tidbit, my main character in my comic is named after both Scorpion and Johnny Cage.

Yes, speaking of video games, I JUST LOVE DOTA. Yeah it's not a series but there was DotA and now Dota 2 right heheh? The competitiveness, the strategy, the colours, the feeling of taking down the entire enemy team! I loved the lore aspect so much that I made my OWN comic about it

i have many favorites its really hard to pick just only one, but super smash bros is my favorite when it comes to fighting games and Kingdom hearts is my favorite action RPG, but an the same time i love the tales of series :3

like i said its really hard but i just love games X3
they are a great way to take up time and have fun! plus the way they tell their story is very unique type of medium compared to a cartoon or a movie.
