What's your favorite video game series? Any you'd like to get into?

I personally adore the Legend of Zelda, however I may drop everything when it comes to the Ace Attorney series.
(I'm currently working on Majora's Mask 3D, but before that I finished Miles Edgeworth Investigations 2)
I'm also working on the Professor Layton series, only finishing the first two. I've got a long way to go. (Puzzzzzllllles)

I'm going to be really boring and say Final Fantasy - but only because you mentioned all the other ones I was going to say. >.< Layton is amazing, as is Ace Attorney - and while I kind of suck at Zelda, I do love both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

I'm right in the middle of re-playing Final Fantasy IX - for literally the 10th time. I just love it so much it's ridiculous. I also nabbed a bunch of the older FFs during PSN's latest sale.

I like JRPGs in general, but I tend to prefer the older ones, or ones that feel similar in atmosphere. I like the fairytale aspect of it - the grand fantasy worlds, things like that. I am not too fond of the ones that take place in more scifi-worlds, because they tend to feel more drab and grey, and that's not really what I'm after in my games.

What else... well. Insomniac's first Spyro the Dragon-trilogy was absolutely wonderful, and I challenge ANYONE to outrace me in Crash Team Racing for the PS1.

I recently really got into Don't Starve and Crypt of the Necrodancer. One's a rogue like and the first is a survival game. I'm pretty much into those type of games as well as rpgs.
I used to really be into Black & White's game series as well as Fable and Oblivion from Elder Scrolls.

@vincentprendick Oh, then you should definitely play Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright! It's awesome!

I have a lot of favourite games, but my favourite series are smash bros, halo, and mass effect. Also, Donkey Kong Country Returns is like the best platformer I've ever played, if you've got a 3DS check it out! And I'll finally have enough time to play Destiny for the first time this April, which is something I've been looking forward to for ages!

Oh I have played it. I have played every Phoenix Wright game out there, and I heard that PL vs PW didn't have any spoilers, so I got it on day 1. Gotta say, it was indeed, as you say, awesome. It was sort of why I've started playing the Prof. Layton series in the first place.

My favourite game series are Persona, Metal Gear Solid and Zero Escape, and I'm now getting into the Megami Tensei series.

When I wrote that I had about 30 seconds before I had to get off the computer...
A few others include Sonic and Sonic 2, Dishonored, fluidity, The Way It Moves, and Super Mario Galaxy.
A few are little wii games my brother got for free, so that's why a few may be unfamiliar to most people...
Something I'm trying to get into (or find for free legaly at the very least) are old school Nintendo games, specifically Legend of Zelda. I've never played it (the original I mean...) but it sounds really fun.

I've been collecting old consoles and games for two years now.
Well, giant portions of my childhood consisted of Movies and Adventure games on PC since at the time my parents couldn't afford any of the game consoles yet. Games such as Day of the Tentacle, Loom, Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, etc.
Never really considered myself as a core gamer person per se, I play my decent amount but thats pretty much it.

However! I do like those RPG's though, played a ton of Earthbound.
I only played just one Pokemon on the gameboy color back in the day, think it was the red one.
Laid back games are probably the ones I play the most nowadays. :3

There are too many video game series that I like. Though I would have to say the Disgaea and Dynasty Warriors spin off titles (like Hyrule Warriors and the Gundam Dynasty Warriors series) are probably my biggest time sinks.

I'd like to say Final Fantasy as well but they seem to have a thing going where I will either really like their game, or really f**king hate it and do that "I want my f**king money back **** **** why is a game making me so ****ing angry over how bad it is **** ****ing ******" thing.

I don't play many games, but Hyrule Warriors is my favorite hands down. Adult Midna is so much fun.
