Whats your go to program?

Manga Studio EX4 for dialogue editing and basic cleanup. GIMP for coloring. Both have been really reliable.

Photoshop for coloring mostly since the backgrounds in Cosmic Fish are kindaaaa like rough digital paintings so it just works better with that program than others (though when my computer died and had to use a replacement, Krita proved to be pretty useful for that too)

Then for text, I switch to Manga Studio. I've tried switching fully to it, but I'm just too used to PS at this point

Man, lots of Manga Studio users in here! I've been very tempted to put Illustrator on my Christmas wishlist since it's great for organising panel/page layout, but I'm curious about Manga Studio now. THAT PRICE, it's such a nicer price, hah^^

As of now, I'm using CS5. When I first started out, waaay back in 2005, I was using Roxio Photosuite. Somehow...

Manga Studio. I use a combo of Manga Studio 4EX and Manga Studio 5, and they're both lovely. The reason I haven't migrated fully to MS5 alone is because I've got the EX version of MS4, which comes with the multipage-story function. Also, I prefer the way MS4 handles dialogue tools and panelling.

I still use Paint Tool Sai sometimes, for sketching and such, but for serious comic-making, it's Manga Studio all the way.

Clip Studio Paint, hands down. (Formerly Manga Studio, I think?) It was a little difficult to get used to it after having used Photoshop 7 and Paint Tool SAI for so long, but by now it feels like a perfect combination of the two with all the tools I need...and lots more. Paneling is quick and easy, the text tool (that Paint Tool SAI was lacking last time I used it) is quite convenient and the available brushes and effect lines are another huge plus.

As someone who prefers making full color comics over black and white screentone style, all the usual pen/brush settings that other programs have and additional options like saving color palettes have become indispensable to me. It was a coincidence that I ended up buying CSP a little over a year ago, and I'm honestly so glad I did. It probably doesn't work for everyone, but I do highly recommend trying it--used to think it felt "weird," now I feel like I never want to use any other drawing software for comics/manga again.

Manga Studio 5. I'm not much for coloring so it suits my needs for Life of an Aspie and any other comics I make on there just fine.

I use manga studio 5 to edit, add screentones, text, sound effects and textures to my comic.

I use Paint tool Sai at the moment.
Now there are a lot of reasons I like this program, but to be honest I only bought it because it was 40 bucks and it seemed like everyone and their brother were using it (besides the ones using photoshop, clip studio paint and manga studio, gimp, adobe flash (I miss that one) and MS paint)

I use medibang paint for drawing, i lost photoshop which I use to use, and until i get it back I've been using pixlr editor. Medibang is like a form of fire alpaca.

Photoshop all the way! Though I'll occasionally scan in pencil sketches first and then work over those. I've heard good things about Manga studio but never had a chance to try it!

yeah, manga studio has a learning curve, but once you get the basics and watch the video tutorials its pretty straight forward.

the panels tools are a life saver. It honestly makes things so much easier if I'm not doing to many free floating frames.

I remember trying Krita, the tools really are impressive but intimidating for me (so many options)

I use Manga Studio EX 5 for everything up to the inking stage, I do all of my coloring and beyond in Photoshop CS3 XD

I used to be a Photoshop user, but then I got a Manga Studio to the knee. Now it's Manga Studio aaaaaaaaaalllllllllll the way!

Manga studio and photoshop are my saviors and corel paint is nice once in a while because of the custom brushes I've made. MS for inking and PS for colour. XD

@AnnaLandin I love the Ex versions of MS. I use 5EX the only old feature I think they should bring back is easily generating zoomlines and movement lines.

I definitely miss this in the plain MS5 too, yeah! However, I stick with 4EX because I find their speechbubble-generator tool a lot more comfortable to handle than MS5's, and also the panelling tool. I've experimented with MS5's panelling tools, and I just don't feel as at home in it as I do in MS4EX. But that's very much a personal preference!
