You're the best, thanks lots for such a lovely review!

Thanks everyone for the things you make despite what life throws at you!! I think it says a lot about how much love each of you have for the stories you're telling, and that's pretty inspiring.
[image] Greyshire is a murder mystery with a bunch of main characters/ suspects, but Jack is fun so here's Jack. He's mostly known for being laid-back, friendly, musically inclined, and taller than everyone in any given room.
I'd say easily the most useful trick for me is flipping a drawing horizontally in Photoshop (or just holding a sketch up to a mirror) so I can see it in reverse. Honest-to-goodness, try it. All your mistakes suddenly become glaringly obvious and you'll immediately see everything you need to fix!
Aaaah this is fantastic!
My comic is a murder mystery so I'm not at liberty to say whether this guy's a villain, but Malcolm is definitely an antagonist of sorts. (Also usually the most fun to write!) [image] Rich nephew of an eccentric earl, he has a very high opinion of himself and would very much like to inherent …
A vague answer, but I've always found that when an author cares a lot about a character or has fun creating them, they are usually well-developed and interesting be default. So chances are if an author loves their characters, other people will too!
Ohmygosh, what a beautiful thread!
Well I'm all for happiness and fun. Hi there! (Also I've run across your comic before- it's ridiculous, in a good way )
It was a reeeally last minute decision, but I wanted to hint at what's to come since there's a good bit of exposition at the beginning of my (murder mystery) comic, so I started with a flash forward scene to after a crime has already happened: [image] It's also the only scene in color because c…
Huge congrats on hitting 100 pages, that's some major commitment! Lovely shading style, wishing you all the best.
Always been quite happy with this one (from my silly murder mystery, Greyshire: aka adventures in sometimes drawings actual backgrounds) [image]
I wouldn't worry too much about putting in action right away. I honestly worried about the same thing a lot in my comic (which has a ton of exposition) but I've come to find that if people enjoy the characters and watching them interact, whether or not it's doing something exciting, they'll keep re…
Ooh awesome art style!
History and fiction! Two of my favorite things I've got a late-Victorian period murder mystery going called Greyshire; it takes a few liberties with the way people would speak/behave in that time period but I think it would generally qualify as historical fiction?

Nooo you did not draw something with lines this clean by hand! Really impressive!
Well done! Cool choice of colors, btw
Oh that's a really clever idea!

Awesome, I'll give them a read!
Yeah I suppose it's a balancing act between the ideal colored look for a page and how quickly you want to finish/post new ones. Limited color schemes might be a useful thing to consider- I've seen people do some really neat work with almost entirely (but not quite) black and white pages: check out c…

Ooh nice I'll check them all out for sure, thanks for the recommendations!

Oh good to know! I was kind of questioning myself there- it's nice they put in some more category options!

Or did I totally overlook it before? Anyway I'm excited that it's here, because the label Comedy wasn't quite cutting it for my comic Greyshire, and now now other mystery series will be a lot easier to find (I haven't had much luck locating them up to this point.) I'm a big fan of the genre, if an…
Lovely drawing style!

A lot like you said- if a comic has a lot of subscribers already I probably won't comment despite its awesomeness levels- but if something is both brilliant AND under-appreciated I'll write something.
