So I'm relatively new to working on comics, I'm currently on the 8th page of my first chapter, hoping to finish all of ch 1 and build up a couple page buffer on Ch 2 before I start uploading. My work flow has been to pencil and ink traditionally, then scan and color in Photoshop since I feel a lot more confident in my pen on paper drawings at the moment, but like the consistency of digital coloring over (copic marker).
All of that aside, I've lately started experimenting with brush pens in addition to the regular liners that I've been using forever. I quickly noticed over the last two pages that the eraser that I've been using for years (the white steadtler one) was wayyyyyyyy too harsh on the brush pen ink, and so when erasing my pencils most of the ink would fade out all the way to gray, causing me to have to reink the entire thing :X Inking is already the most time consuming part of the process for me, and that just makes it take even longer.
I've since hit the art supply store and picked up a softer eraser that works better with this ink, I think, but the whole thing has made this page take like three weeks instead of the usual one. It hurts xD Going to do a practice drawing before starting the next page juuuuust to make sure the eraser is actually fine this time though....
