My weakness is coloring. The whole process for me is arduous enough that although it's integral to my comic art, I wish I could just pay someone to do it for me because of how time consuming it is. I'd be able to do a lot more drawing and inking if I didn't have to spend hours flatting and coloring on an imperfect touchpad. Part of it is the technology I guess but I don't have as much of a passion for coloring as I do for the rest of comic-making (even lettering, I love lettering!!)

My weakness is time.
Because of time you'll have to sacrifice something specially when you're working, like, you come back from job and you have two option: use the few hours you have before you go to sleep in drawing or use those hours in chat with your friends. And obviously you can't stay awake all night because next day you have to work. If just the day had more hours :')
Besides the time it takes to finish a page, I can draw easily, EASILY, the sketch, but then it comes the details, finishing it, so more hours on it.

Yeah, that's pretty much my current predicament right now! My greatest weakness is my crazy and unforgivable work/non-comic art schedule. I would just love to work on comic pages all day and I can barely keep up with my current update schedule x.x.

I think another weakness I have is my ADHD xD It seems to be getting way worse as I age too :S.

My biggest weakness right now? TIME- lack of, and management.

Money- sometimes I dont feel I have enough money- in return I work my FT gig(which ISNT art related), which leaves me tired and I dont have enough energy and/or the TIME to put into my comic like I want to.

Motivation- because I sometimes work a lot, I'm pooped over the weekend and not motivated or focused enough to do art. I often gamble in that I will push myself to do something- sometimes it works and I get some stuff done; other times it doesnt, which leaves me frustrated.

Sometimes it's not being in a good "arting" zone. I try drawing, and all my stuff looks wonky...I try not to stay submersed in an art vacuum coz it's not healthy, so I try to get out and socialize from time to time- but there's that thing where because I'm an introvert with zero tolerance for stupid shit, I tend to stay away from people in general(except if you do cool art, and I know you). I also try to get away from the computer every once in a while and do stuff like watch TV shows or movies(in the winter I watch a LOT of football- but most of the time I'm working on art while I'm watching games). Or I attempt to insert that "exercise" thing into the equation to try to be healthy(walking, jumping jacks, jump rope).

Not enough time, school is pretty taxing and unpredictable, so i don't know if I'll have the time I need to finish my updates...

Time and a bit of burn out after working on the same story for ten years. I recently changed my update schedule and it's really helping with my motivation though.

Patience, writers block, drawing anything that isn't a person from the waist up, and cute things.
I can't draw cute stuff to save my life...

Time and in the future... my back is going to go out if I don't correct my posture. Already having back pain from work and throw in hours of sitting on the computer, doesn't help that I'm a noob so everything takes me 10x as long. Oh what fun. I enjoy making the comic though haha

  • Don't have enough time to draw.

  • Don't have the time to sit down and go over everything I want to do for the comic, leading to inconsistency and vagueness.

  • Don't believe in myself.

  • Won't risk putting myself out there/promoting myself too much because antipicate negativity and am currently unsure how I would handle it.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yes. I would do a page a day if I could, but commissions come first. Dx
Nuuu!
Well, I imagine that could create some pretty boss art too.

Time. If humans didn't require sleep, we could be so much more prolific with our comics than we are now, but unfortunately we're hampered by full-time work and freelance jobs. We don't even bother with social commitments at this point (or dates ;___; ) because the schedule is: get home from work, bust out any paid art that needs doing, spend the rest of the night on comics, pass out at 2 am.

Lack of time and energy. I'm away from home about 11 hours a day, and once I get back and finish my chores, and help cook dinner, I don't have much time to recover enough energy to do anything before bed. I hate it, and wish I could somehow make money off my stuff, but past experiences have taught me that my work isn't marketable... like, at all.

Well, I'm, like, TOO passionate and care too much, ya know? And I hate taking time off so I don't take enough days off. Also, I'm too strong and smart, it intimidates others. Its been said that I'm so handsome that its distracting and causes marital strife. I killed a man because I complimented him and he laid down and died absolutely content, having achieved all his goals in life.

....Okay, okay I eat too much french fries and love sleeping enveloped by blankets and pillows like a hibernating bear.

My weakness is never being satisfied with anything I write for my comic before drawing it out. I'm confident in my art but not so much with coming up with ideas for certain situations xD I tend to second guess myself a lot.

We're lucky that we're married, so at least we get to sit at home and work on comics together.

That's sort of...like...going on dates......right?

;_;

That's gotta be time and motivation.
By the time I get home, I feel like comics are a hassle, and I'd rather do something where I don't have to be the one in control of everything. At that point I turn to uncreative means, like watch YouTube, play videogames, or just lump on the couch.

I often feel as though I'm at my best whenever I'm in the zone for creating. It's incredible that I have found the skill to make the things in my head appear on the screen, but other people's creations are just as good, and I want to participate. I love good shows, movies and videogames, and I want to take part in them, but that time takes away from creating. Such is life.

Naming characters. That's not even 20 characters required to submit a post!

Definitely time for me as well. Working takes up far more of my week than I would like, but hey the mortgage has to be paid somehow! Also because I'm not that experienced it takes my quite a long time to create what would probably take others about half an hour 😂 I see all the great work on here and it can be a little intimidating. But I learn as I go!
