Oh, all the time. A lot of my winter scenes with midnight sun are from my times working on the rigs in the Northern Canada... and I always wanted to write a book with Olympic Plaza in Calgary, so I did and I had a lot of fun including familiar locations.
A castle in France from many years ago, one of those estates that are off the beaten track, ended up in Trapped by the Mafia.
When we travelled through Korea, I basically wanted to play out a story in every landscape I saw, and I used a couple.
Writing Moscow was fun too in Lone Werewolf.
I dunno, I love travelling & I remember places rather well, so they keep popping up in my memory all the time.
