Goku is the number 1 character that makes me happy

However I also love Naruto, Ichigo and Yugi Moto

Yes, he's a villain, but he's got a code of honour and a sense of right and wrong (and he kills Nazis). He'd also got just such a cool design, and his powers are flipping epic. I mean, he can shoot a razor-sharp gust of wind out of his head! I also love his vampire ponies 🥰

It will always the Mario Bros and Link from Legend of Zelda. They were my introduction to video games and it always comes back to them. I love them.

There's definitely more videogame characters than anime but:

• just about any Splatoon character especially Pearl and Marina from 2 and Frye from 3
• most characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise
• Daisy, Rosalina Bowser and Luigi from the Mario franchise
• a lot of the characters from Breath of the Wild in the Zelda series
• a handful of folks from Supergiant's Hades
• Team Rocket (specifically reffering to Jessie, James and Meowth) from the Pokemon series and especially Team Skull or Raihan

and if i had to name any other anime characters it'd probably be anybody from the cast of either Lucky Star, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Mekakucity Actors, Free! or Madoka Magica

there's also Hatsune Miku (and other vocal synths) but it's hard to know if she's considered a music exclusive identity or one who can be associated with games or even anime with the number of titles that have come out over the years as well as show cameos

• The cast of Ojamajo Doremi
• Bust A Groove characters (I hate how obscure that game is)
