I use Procreate for my comic! Yes it can be tedious in some ways for comics, but it runs so much smoother than Clip Studio on my iPad, and all of my custom brushes and such are already in it, so moving apps would be way more trouble than it's worth.
The thing which limits me the most is the lack of layers on large, high DPI canvases. I make do by working on my comic in shorter 'chunks'. I just ensure the bottom colour of one chunk matches the top colour of the next, so it looks seamless when scrolled through. If I need to, I'll draw the panels separate from the backdrop, flatten them on a duplicate canvas, copy those flattened panels out onto a super long canvas with 10-ish layers, and paint in the background there. It's kinda convoluted, but it works well enough.
Once the new iPad Pro's come out next month, I'll be grabbing one with the 'excessive' 16gb of ram, and never have to seriously worry about the layer limit ever again.
