Thought, we need a little more off topic questions here in the forums, to bring in some fresh air x3
So, let's do that, shall we? What are y'alls favorite games that you could always return to/replay after a long time and why? What makes it special to you?
For me, it's Sonic Adventure 2. I didn't own the game or a Gamecube when I was a kid, but I watched a let's play when I first discovered YouTube around the age of 10 and the game stuck with me ever since. I do still own a Wii however and since it can run Gamecube games, I decided to finally buy the game for myself replay it a few years ago. It's a game I probably won't ever get tired of no matter how much I play it, because the story is one of the best in the Sonic series, dare I say the most iconic! (Due to the story's conclusion and just the most epic final boss battle I've ever played/watched through with badass music (god, I love Crush40))
The soundtrack, gameplay and story fit so nicely together, I even enjoy the extra challenges that you can replay all the different stages in!
But the best thing is definitely the Chao Garden, I can never get tired of raising virtual pets and especially not those adorable little creatures. However, to this day, I still didn't get my own Chaos Chao... Probably gonna get one eventually, but I don't have much time on my hands, currently.
Another one - which I discovered last year - is Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but since that game is pretty much freshly discovered and not that old, I will withhold myself a little from gushing about it xD
