Right now I am currently starting a new novel and I am torn between two plots that I came up with. So I decided to ask you guys which story do you think sounds more interesting.
Story #1
Title: I Didn't Know I Was The Demon Lord
Genre: Isekai, Fantasy, Action, OP Protagonist, Harem(?)
Plot: Yusuke Itami and his four childhood friends spent most of their time playing the famous MMORPG Strife of War, with Itami taking the role as a lowly imp demon named Lucifer. However, one day a mysterious event left Itami traumatized and his friends missing. Ten years later after becoming a shut-in NEET due to his trauma, Itami finds himself once again playing the game, learning that his character has strangely continued to level up despite the servers being shut down years ago. After logging back into his account, Itami is suddenly transported and trapped inside the game as his avatar, who has become a level 100 demon lord that commands an entire empire. And what's worse, that empire is currently at war with two other kingdoms!
Confronted with this situation, the shut-in Itami must now learn to act as a proper demon lord while searching for his missing friends, who he believes have also been trapped within the game.
Story #2
Title: I Wanna Be The Monster King!
Genre: Comedy, Fantasy, Harem
Plot: The hero Luster has finally made it to the palace of the Queen of Monsters. Now, face to face with humanity's greatest enemy, Luster gets down on his knee and says "Please marry me!". To his delight, the queen agrees....on one condition. The hero must persuade the 12 monster lords, who were former subordinates of the queen, to once again unite under her rule and rebuild the great monster kingdom. Which means, he must build a harem of powerful monster lords in order to realize his dream of becoming the king of monsters! Will he be up to the challenge?
So yeah, those are my ideas. I know they're kind of unoriginal and somewhat corny, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd get enjoyment out of these stories. However, since I don't have the time or brainpower to do both at the same time I decided to see which would be more appealing to start on. So yeah, I'd appreciate any feedback you guys can give.
