Hey, today I'm faced with a dilemma and I'm deciding to do a bit of a survey so...
Pick one out of these covers which you like/would like to read:

Cover A

Cover B

Cover C

The bottom cover because less characters in the cover makes the cover look better. At least in my opinion.

Well, I want to confirm: these are not a same story, right?

Cover alone, the second or the third, but I am one want to know what the story is about before start reading.

The third is the only one that looks interesting to me. ^^;
Although I think it's mostly because the other two give off the same vibe of "aren't these characters fun and wacky and random?? Look, there's so many colorful, fun and wacky random characters in this story!! Wouldn't you like to fall in love with this fun and wacky random world?? P-please...???"

...Basically, they feel like they're begging for the reader's attention in a very amateurish, unsophisticated way. Which makes me not want to give it. :T

On the other hand, the third cover actually seems to have been made with some level of artistry. The cohesive color palette, the mysterious lighting, the focus on one well-drawn character rather than a variety of rough designs plastered all over the space. And the glow of the blade placed right underneath the title, drawing your attention just as your eye finishes scanning down the image: "whoa; wait, she's got a sword?! What's that for; what could this story be about??"

...It's a classic case of 'less is more'. ^^

The third appeals mostly for me. It has the vibe that here will be a good action story, and I like action stories : )

I like the second one because there is more diversity in characters. I like being able to see all of them together taking up the majority of the space.

this ^^. I'm not a fan of that type of story.

I would probably read the first one while hoping there was a deeper message than just “cute kids”. Something that I liked about the first season of Umbrella Academy was it actually addressed the issues that go on in larger families. Stuff like competition, emotional neglect, and favoritism.

It definitely has slightly deeper topics that it touches throughout the story.
I plan on doing another forum post like this but with the summaries included:grin:
