I have been brainstorming for a new comic idea, and I was able to come up with two variations that appealed to me. However, I'm in a dilemma of which variation to choose. I'll give you a summary of both of them down here, so I hope you guys can give me feedbacks and your opinion on them :
First Variation:
A is an esper with psychometric ability, which allows him to see others' memories by touching their belongings. Recently, his twin brother B had disappeared during a camping trip, and A found out with his ability that a park ranger, C, was responsible for it. Thus A volunteered as a park ranger in order to get closer to C and collect evidences to bring her to court.
Meanwhile, C, agitated at the sight of someone with the same face as her victim, tries her best to outwit A and his psychometry.
Second Variation:
A is an esper with psychometric ability. Recently, he had faked his death during a family camping trip and took on the identity of his twin brother, B, whom he had murdered out of jealousy. A planted fake evidences and made it seem as if 'A' had simply disappeared into the night.
On the other hand, cop C who is investigating the case had an inkling that it was much more sinister than a mere disappearance. She tries to fit the puzzle pieces together, as A starts having hallucinations of B still being alive every time he puts on his dead brothers' clothes.
Personally speaking, I like the cat-and-mouse chase of the first variation, but the second variation seems to have a more interesting premise. However, I'm also afraid that it would be a little too dark, so you see where I'm getting at?
Feel free to tell me anything that's on your mind! Thank you in advance
