Who here watched One Punch Man anime last year

I remember that around November last year there was a viral anime called One Punch Man where the main character Saitama is very funny and stupendously strong. I wanna ask you guys your thoughts about the show n the main character Saitama.
For me it was a friggin awesome anime even some of my friends that hated anime watched it n enjoyed the show and so far it ranks 3rd in my best anime watched after Bleach and Attack on Titan.

One Punch is awesome, so awesome it got the artist of Eyeshield 21 to offer to re-draw the series for the original artist/writer "One."
The anime you watched was base on that re-drawn version. If you go looking online you can find the origonal One Punch Man by "One" as well as the redrawn version by Riichiro Inagaki

Man, Eyeshield 21 is the reason I found it back around 2012! I was desperately looking for something that would be just as good (unfortunately, never found anything by ES21's writer) and lo'n'behold I discovered OPM! Best find.

Getting to see it animated was pretty great. Though honestly I didn't need it at all haha~
Saitama is the kind of protag i dig a lot - he doesn't give a shit about all the nonsense in the hero industry and does his own thing for his own reasons. The contrast between the lazy persona that no one but select few expect anything from and his true one-hit-kill badass self is mmmm delectable. Also hilarious.

Everyone o liked OPM should check out MOB psycho 100 from ONE, it's as good as OPM, sometimes even better.
I heard that he's getting an anime too.

I watched it and frankly loved it.
The fact ONE decided to use a OP character which none can beat and make it work was fantastic, many complained because "but he's too strong! none can beat him!" when that was the point, it was making a joke about so many shonen characters who are ridiculous strong. I found Saitama hilarious, though in the comic (ONE) suddenly got pretty serious with the whole Tatsumaki-Fubuki thing, and that give us the idea ONE wants to add some development and depth with secondary characters, I'd like if he does something with Genos or Sonic, I loved them both

I kept up with the original and redraw for some time and would keep telling all my friends it was only a matter of time till it got an anime. I'm so stoked that the anime did it justice, the redraw had so many epic scenes I knew they couldn't fuck it up. Great anime great comic nuff said.

the anime was very close to the original comic and i was surprised at how well it matched up. I haven't actually watched the end of the anime (I never watched the last 2 eps) but Sunday was always a treat finally getting to watch that week's episode.

I fucking hate anime, but I love OPM and my robohusband Genos. Fight scenes were amazing and the comedy was on point. It was good to see them throw the shounen tropes out the window and not give a shit.

What I loved about it is that it felt like a typical epic anime with bad ass fight scenes and what not and then gave the main character God Mode.

Still haven't finished it but it's already on my top 10 favourites. I just love everything about it from the mountain amount of references to the humour to the characters and how the main ones are really unique. It's a shame that my classmates refuse to watch it because it's a gem of a series.
