May be surprising considering that I write action comics but...my favorite fictional character would have to be
Daffy Duck. Love this guy, he's outspoken, selfish, rude, and completely unafraid to screw anyone over to get what he wants.
But the endearing part to me is that he's completely inept at doing so. He's a punching bag that tries to get out of his situations any way possible, only to fail. But it won't stop him from trying to do so.
Yes he puts himself in most of those situations, but I can identify with that too. How many times have I set myself up for failure? Too many to count.
I also enjoy the early days of Daffy, especially those Robert Clampett ones where he was batsh!t insane. It wasn't really until Chuck Jones that his character was fleshed out into the cowardly egomaniac I love so much. I really enjoyed that show from the late 2000s where he and Bugs were living in the same house. That show had a considerably different feel to the comedy, but I really enjoyed it. (Especially because Bugs would finally get some comeuppance for being the massive D-bag that he is.)
