Who’s your favorite character to write/draw?

I enjoy all of my characters to draw. Drawing them is the fun part.

Have too many faves honestly,
awesome old drawing, the way he's reaching out to viewer his calm face and gives me the feeling of either foreshadowing of time related complexeties ahead or he's far more complicated than we initially assume he is (with all the cool abstract stuff behind him),

Evan one of the MCs (two brothers) from my series is one, enjoy his playful and reckless optimistic personality he has a tendency to quickly adapt to a situation. And his his solid manipulation ability is fun unusual, gross and wacky. He makes various melee weapons from his spit.

3 versions (3d as seen in comic, chibbi for a chibbi collab and 2d from his concept art)

But judging by what day it is today, this has become an instant favourite, saw it when i took a 5 minuite nap earlier, feel free to brighten it if the details arent clear

Everytime a new character appears I enjoy each drawing differences regardless of different difficulties drawing them.

I like drawing Maor because his design is simpler than most others, however he has huge range of emotions & expressions (keeping him being too bland in personality)

My favourite character to draw depends entirely on which chapter I'm on, but Qam and Rahat have been at the top for a while. Rahat has such a fun nervous chaotic energy which really complements Qam's generally cool calm collected vibe. So I mostly draw them together. Rahat also has an incredibly skewed moral compass but is generally a bit pathetic so qam, who's a good person, tends to pull them out of their messes. So Rahat tries to impress and appeal to Qam, which as a by-product leads to generally more moral decisions. this dynamic endears me greatly, so I draw them a lot.

Oh man, it's gotta be Kai Vermillion. I'll include an excerpt of his intro:

Mrs. Huette did not smile back. “It is primarily for your safety.”
Kai shrugged. One by one, he removed each of his earrings, making sure to let them clatter onto the desk each time. Mrs. Huette shook her head and walked away. As she did, Kai pulled back a corner of his mouth with his pinky and flashed his tongue at her back. One final piercing adorned it.

Definitely the cocky grinning type. I didn't even mean for him to become a larger character, but the more I wrote his character details the more I liked him and wanted to include him more in the main storyline.

Oh! I remember there being a spider man trend in tiktok where artists drew their own Spider-Man and it was amazing! I totally agree with this (if I’m not misunderstanding your comment)

Thank you but my colors, especially in that drawing was really lacking. How did you get so good at drawing with such bright and vibrant colors? Do you crank the saturation to max after drawing it or do you simply have a good grasp of the color wheel?

I'd say I just have a good sense for the colour wheel - for the bottom left drawing I took a lot of inspiration from mild sandpaper's speedraws. I mentioned the colour pallet because the green/burgundy/gold/navy is a good mix! It gives him a regal/dark academia vibe. But the levels are a bit skewed - the red blue and green are all a similar kind of dark, and the blue hair on the blue background is a little confusing. Making the green more of a mid-tone and having the hair being more saturated than the background might help.

If you want to learn more about this sort of thing doing colour studies of photos or art you like helps and so does experimenting with different layer styles (add, hard light and overlay are good for helping things pop).

Well, I love both these characters, but in the end, it's gotta be Bucky! (the red/grey chicken)
Mostly because of his colors (and he doesn't blend into the bg, unfortunately like Friar in the 2nd piece XD)
It's also fun to draw his swirly comb and that "beard".

He's just a fun guy overall, a little clueless, but a great friend.
