Who would you want to compose the soundtrack of your comic?

I would get Muse, Ratatat, and Blind Guardian to collab for Paisley Brickstone's soundtrack, but as for Perilous Journey, I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW..... Maybe Loreena McKennitt, Regina Spektor, or Rufus Wainwright???? Maybe all three squished together???

Seriously I don't know if either of those collab combos would even work but HEY. Even if the first one turned into an absolute mess I'd probably love it regardless because it's my three favorite groups combined.

for TWAW.. hm... i think minimalism would work well, and given its a folk story with a twist, id want folk music with a twist. oldschool emmy the great, id say? or jasmine kennedy - shes not folk w a twist, but shes sad and gay and soft which is also very fitting.

OH OH OR julianna barwick - the combination of traditional choir sound and ambient synth sound would work really well.

I make my own music and try to give it an original twist but I do envy those who know how to compose better because i'm self taught and sorta an amateur :x

As for Cosmic Fish, I'd prefer something local so Balún has been really amazing letting me use their music for my projects since it's close to the Dream Pop feel I'd like to achieve, or Amapola who is very vocal over lyrics and since in this constant state of wonder.

That being said, all characters have their own musical identities so it's very varied? Like Acantha's musical beat (more Electronic or beat focused--think something like Gorillaz) is very different from Bells (who would be very sweet, lotta synth and music boxes like something out of Bird and the Bee or Dumbo Gets Mad). Whereas Schnell WOULD have something like electro swing too...like Maniac I think tbh from Caravan Palace or something perky amongst those lines. Gallo would probably be Puerto Rican rock exclusively like Viva Nativa (who conveniently has a song called Gallo HA)

But also for certain scenes this is actually very fitting:

So when characters are together there'd be a mix of musical styles like this when shenanigans occur...so there is no specific style other than very electronic for now, beat, and perhaps some synthesizers here and there??

So either Balún as top choice, then Dumbo Gets Mad, Bird and the Bee, Flaming Lips, or someone local, but I wouldn't have any ONE person in particular. eve(\ sorry

Oh, lord, I have no idea. I've thought long and hard about what style of music, but I can't name a individual composer for the life of me.
Probably something along the lines of these:

Something nice and calming, a deep smooth voice for lyrical things, and heavy on the acoustic instruments.

I LOVE Caravan Palace! I might have TMBG compose the soundtrack to my comic, if I could, but that's probably because they're my favorite band. Actually now that I think about it maybe Jim Guthrie writing some mood pieces would be better, despite my love of the Johns. -Vivian

This is a really good but also quite a difficult question. (Also a nice way to find some new music to listen to.)

For my comic I can't think of a single composer, so I'll just mention bands. I'd want something electronic but not up-beat. Darkwave would be pretty perfect and I'd absolutely love to have Blaqk Audio on the soundtrack.

I'd also love some Depeche Mode, Studio Killers and Daft Punk on the soundtrack but more importantly I'd have some Björk on there, too. Her voice and sound is so unique and interesting and I think it would fit nicely into the spacey mood of my comic. She is simply amazing.

Ohh!!!, for my comic Afterimage it would be either Hundred Waters and Blue in Green maybe both. Something mellow with a sense of surreal ambiance.

I am a sucker musics I'd associate with my webcomic, Prince Marine: The Dandy Robot, especially given I link to some on soundcloud. Most of my tunes tends to fit into the electronic genre, specifically my Big Three: Owl City, GENKI ROCKETS, and Daft Punk.

My main comic theme is definitely Owl City's "Alligator Sky."

Coldplay's Paradise is like the most suitable song for The Angel with Black Wings (the character herself) and I mean that literally.
