Why do you write?

For me, writing is like a portal to many beautiful, vast and infinite worlds. I inspire, reach and see many.

Creating was always in my life and I just never stopped and got more
and comes out in different ways like writing stories and songs, making
music, drawing.

I don´t know why, I guess you can call it an instinct. Some people want
to become politicians, a parent, police officers or rich, I don´t know
why they want that, I just know what I want

Writing is nice when you publish a physical book, but online, it's kindda pointless because online users prefer to see rather than read.
My writing's only purpose is to script for my comics.

it's a means for self expression for me. I also daydreamed a lot to escape reality as a kid (who am I kidding) even now I day dream a lot, so I think my stories are often my maladaptive daydreams as well

I don't know. It doesn't make logical sense. If I wanted more money, all I need to do is get more jobs. But something seems to compel me to do it. And it's far beyond my level of understanding

I've always been a day dreamer often times to the detriment of my schooling. Writing was just a natural direction. I always have fun creating stuff.

I have books filled with messy notes of different worlds and hundreds of OC's that'll probably never see the light of day.

I’ve seen online people describe writing as exorcising a story out of yourself.
I’m more of a drawing/visual creative person, but I also started writing a web novel that I have yet to start publishing because I had this idea for a long time and I needed to get it out of my head.
Putting the story to paper even if no one else reads it can be liberating, because it no longer swirls in your head in an ever changing way.

I write largely because I love stories. I always loved how the right book could help me escape, have fun, or feel some emotions I wasn't ready to for myself (it's a lot easier to cry over a character death than handle my own grief). Writing for myself is fun and a way to destress and process emotions.

But when I write and polish it to share, I'm hoping to provide those moments of enjoyment and escape to my readers that I've enjoyed reading other people's works.

My parents & relatives would tell me amazing folklores while I was growing up, but they were never written down, only to slowly fade out of their memories & threaten to be lost in time like their parents' folklores & stories. So, I started to write them down. Eventually, I found myself writing stories that I wish were already out there---for people like me.
