@kip Ah! Sorry about that, I thought some people were forgetting to post links and such.
Lmao! Well, it's a good thing I never advertised myself as being a good person. From the sounds of your comment I said something about his comic that you probably took personally? But gad, I honestly do not know. I forgot my own birthday this year, so I don't remember squat about anything I talk about online after a month or so, but I am overly blunt and I can imagine whatever said was something rude. I would say I mean no ill will from it, that's just me and no matter how much I've struggled I still can't get ride of this current personality, but something legit bad could have gone on. Maybe I did go after Songdog as a person, instead of keeping it to his comic.
I can see how that would affect your experience with reading my comic, most people can't detach creators from their work, and seeing a creator they follow not be a super great role model can sully their views on everything that creator is a part of.
But yeah, if you're someone who's affected by the creators personality, it's kinda good you lost interested. (Not trying to get pity points, just stating as a fact that I'm awful sometimes.)
Thank you for the critique! I've seen this a few times, and have been trying to figure out how to keep the "Open Impressionism" look, or have that complimentary color shading that I like while just... not sucking at it, but I still have a lot to learn. I don't really like same color shading, it looks kinda gross to me when trying to apply it (It doesn't bother me when seeing it in other people's work, just my own.), but I agree that it is much easier on the eyes than the mess I'm doing. I'll definitely continue working on making my shading more appealing, maybe I'll drop the wannabe Open Impressionism thing if I find that I don't have the skill to pull it off correctly.
Thank you again for your time!
