Will you aid my quest?

Alright, so for quite a long while I have been trying to get my story The God Of Summer Storms to 100 subscribers. We had been sitting at 87 for literally a year, then in these past few days we got to 88, and 89. I'm going to be completely honest with you, I want that 100. I don't know about you but growing up my mom was never happy with me just passing. If I wasn't bringing home 100s, I might as well have stayed outside. So I'm looking to you.

I'm not going to ask you to just subscribe for nothing. I hope you will read a chapter and enjoy the adventure. But I will also try to read at least a chapter of anyone's comic or novel who checks out my story. I'll even try to leave some feedback where I can.

With that in mind, The God of Summer Storms is a medieval fantasy with gay stuff, war, and a variety of creatures. I know that mix isn't for everyone, but maybe you'll be surprised.

On that note. Drop your stories below, anything fantasy of BL will probably be my first picks, but I appreciate anyone who gives my story a shot. And to anyone who subscribes... I'll throw a pizza party in your honor... or Chinese food maybe? I'm flexible. I only need 11 more subscribers. I'm not begging... but ok yeah i kinda am.

But for real, I want you to genuinely enjoy the story. I've been writing it for a while, and it's inspired by some events that I joke about but they mean a lot.

Ok this was actually pretty interesting. At first I was going to say the font and the dialog bubbles make it hard to read, but as I kept going it started to feel like a fit, like it's more natural. It's still not the easiest to read, but i get it and I'm not made at. There's a sort of somber nostalgia I got the further I read. Do I think it's for me? Probably not, but I think it's an acquired taste worth snacking on.

The first chapter is handwritten + supposed to sound like the characters writing letters. The rest of the series uses digital text. Thank you for trying it. : )

Read the first 3 episodes of your story. I was getting into the backstory section with Michael. If the series keeps cutting between time periods + fills in the gaps left by those first 2 episodes, I think I'll enjoy this more as it goes.

I think you have a clear road map, points you want to hit, but it's was a little stiff going a long. I appreciate 1st person perspective, but I think you need more ways to describe self actions. You almost had a problem of saying "I did this," "I did that," a lot. Almost. I don't think you actually use those too too much, but you almost did. They're more noticeable because a lot if your paragraphs were sort, maybe 2 or 3 sentences each. If you find more creative ways to describe or tell us the actions he's doing, it's help a lot.

For example, instead of saying "I looked back at my phone before dropping it into the water." You could maybe say "After one last glance at the device I'd used to protect my introverted life for so long, my fingers reluctantly let it go. Watch it fall into the water was terrifying, but necessary. I had to let it go."

Another thing I noticed is your grammar could be a little better, and you could benefit from editing out filler words from certain sentences. And you gotta double check for capitalization. It doesn't bother me much but I noticed a lot of lower case "i"s.

I could go on, but I feel like if i say more it'll start to come off as harsh.

That's exactly what happens. It tells the story from 3 different points of the main characters life throughout the majority of story. It's actually for a reason but I don't want to spoil it.

Ok that was sweet. Im a sucker for any character with a tail by the way, but the analogy you painted was nice too. I will say in the first episode it felt more like they were siblings, so it surprised me that they were together in the second episode, but I'm happy you didn't dance around it.

I'm not crazy about the dialog, the font and presentation of it, but I'm not usually a huge fan of hand written font. However I like what's actually being said. Nothing feels overwhelmingly dramatic but it's also not bland. Im on the third episode now. You got me.

Honestly I get your point on it feeling stiff at times, I have my outlines and all ready but at times it feels too fixed. As for my grammar, it’s something I’ve been trying to work on for a while and I still am, it’s far better than it was before but I know I still have a ways to go in it. As for the writing style, I’d say my main inspiration was tbate and also cuz first person was generally easier for me but I’ll take what you said into consideration. I’m gonna start reading your book tomorrow morning, it’s kinda late on my end, hope you understand.
