I started my comic before I even knew about tap. And I drew it because I liked the story and I was proud of it. After I found tap and I started posting here my morale has dropped a little, because I didn't get the recognition I thought I would. And call it up to vanity or naivety but when I post a page I think 'Wow this is gonna be really popular!' and as a small artist with not a big following, it's not realistic to get my hopes up like that. and we all get obsessed with looking at the numbers and thinking 'wow I thought people would like this, this comic must be terrible then' but when it was just me who was reading/ making it I felt a lot more proud and energetic about the project. But in reality, I had no fans at all.
Views aren't an indicator of value, you put the value in your comic. Unless the only reason you made your comic is to get views and subs, you shouldn't take these numbers so seriously.
I'd say take a breath and get away from the computer, and make things that you are proud of. But If you do want a bigger audience take to social media like Tumblr/Deviantart/Webtoons/ ect. because it's hard to gain a following on just one site
And don't be scared to self advertise on the forums either! It's helped me a lot.
