Manyana,
Will I click on it: I'm in love with this cover! It reminds me a bit of my own with the purple star themes. I would definitely click.
What's my opinion: I expect it to be a is a female coming of age story.
What can be better: nothing really. It's very neat. Maybe there is a bit too much empty space at the top? But it is honestly fine besides that.
100% honest opinion: I like purple and stars, so I like it.
Here is my cover: (artwork done by @faeriesandents)
Will I click on it
I would definitely give it a try
What's my opinion
Looks amazing. I really like the colours and space feel behind it.
What can be better
Did you tried different colours for the tittle? White is kind of off but not to much.
As for my comic it's a slice of life/mystery, I'm making it so it can be for all ages.
Looks like a children book cover but it's not entirely that's why I updated the description so it's more clear what is about.
Good luck on your novel journey
Will I click on it
Probably not, I would read description first though
What's my opinion
Reflections on the picture are stunning.
What can be better
Maybe try white colour for the tittle black is harder to read on darker coloured cover.
As for my comic it's a slice of life/mystery, I'm making it so it can be for all ages.
Good luck on your novel journey
Will I click on it
No, I'm not a fan of romance genre
What's my opinion
Pretty plain cover.
What can be better
Practice a bit on drawing skies and with nicer skier it would look better. It doesn't need to be anything to complex.
As for my comic it's a slice of life/mystery, I'm making it so it can be for all ages.
Good luck on your novel journey
Will I click on it
Maybe
What's my opinion
Pirate stories are mostly always cool. Composition on this cover is amazing. I like ship design.
What can be better
Practice facial anatomy a bit more. Right char face is a bit wrong look up a bit char in such poses to get the sense of perspective.
As for my comic it's a slice of life/mystery, I'm making it so it can be for all ages.
Good luck on your novel journey
Thanks for feedback.
Yes, I've had quite a few people tell me that the style reminds them of Disney, which makes sense I guess. Disney was a big influence when I was growing up.
And no, it's definitely not a fanfiction. It's a complex fantasy/adventure series that I've developed for 14 years? before starting the final version.
For you:
Will i click on it?
- I will, although the cover has a friendly approach. If i was a kid, i'd absolutely click on it.
My opinion:
- It's a friendly story so far, with lots of room for a dark twist. Kinda feels like kirby, cute character but somewhat serious and friendly story.
What can be better:
- I can't really offer any tips since you've corrected the background issues already:sweat_smile:
So, here's mine, hope it's worth it!
Your book cover reminded me of Rambo as a chicken. I don't know why but is intriguing nonentheless. I would give it a try just based on curiosity if anything else. That's for sure. What's your book about? I know I'm very late to this but I'll leave my book cover nonetheless. I case someone wants to give it a try and judge it.
It is a mystery-based comic about Chippo who is the last chicken in the world.
As far as he knows he may be the last one alive. )O_v_O(
Don't let the cute art style fool you!
As for your novel:
Will I click on it - I will take a look at the description first
What's my opinion - The title cathed my attention although the cover design isn't the type I like. Nothing is wrong with it, I just prefer the ones that are drawn rather than having more pictures combined into one ^^
The text is nice and visible and fits the theme.
If you have it on tapas do post a link to it
That looks interesting, do you have a link to Chippo's story?
I don't have the story in Tapas. It's a self-published book that you can find anywhere books are sold. I have more reviews on amazon and goodreads than elsewhere. I don't know if I can publish it on Tapas without risking Amazon taking the book off their site. It's not on KDP, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it elsewhere for free. I guess I could upload a few chapters here and redirect readers on the middle of the book if they want to read the rest?
Here is the link to mine: https://tapas.io/series/Eternal-mist
I'm not sure if you can, if its self published maybe you can
You can definitely add few chapters/pages on tapas and redirect people. On Amazon people can read certain number of pages for free anyways * shrug*
As beautiful as they are I think I'd only pick up issue 7's cover, it stands out and it has me wondering what kind of story it is, while the other covers look like very basic action/sci-fi covers they're beautiful but expected. Your issue 7 is great and I would pick it up, then probably look at the others because of that.
this is my new cover
Thanks, I've been enjoy your story so far.
Summary
Chippo found a new Chicken inside the midst, possible a new friend or the villain who killed everyone? Who knows.
Is very interesting so far.
Here is my book: https://tapas.io/series/Warlocks--Sorceresses-The-Timeless-Grimoire/info1
I posted the first eleven chapters. I will be posting more next week.
Here's mine if interested, I really do need some feedback all and all.
https://m.tapas.io/series/Agents-of-Salvation/infoHi! I really like how your new, improved cover looks! You really listened to the critiques and made it so much better!
When I saw your cover for the first time I thought of a chick who decided to go on an adventure. I thought of one of those stories where a child decides to leave their home behind and go see the world. Honestly I wouldn't click on it because I feel like you still have a way to go when it comes to art but seeing how you improved your cover so quickly following the other people's advice, I think you have a lot of potential!
Also, your comic is a little similar to mine! Though, mine has a pink robin as a main character
I'm curious to see what you think of it!
Thank you
Most people when they see the cover think is about adventure although it is bigger than that.
I chose this shot specifically because it is the biggest moment in his life when he got the courage to explore a bit into the mist. The story itself is very mysterious and we as a reader are exploring the world around Chippo together with him.
Don't let the cute artwork fool you. I made this cover 1 year ago so my drawing changed from back then : D
As for your one:
The moment I see a cute animal on the cover I automatically check it out, which I will do and let you know what I think of your ^___^
From the cover itself, I have no idea what to expect from the story but nevertheless I'm exited to see what it is about : D
