Would you rather be a royal with constant assassination attempts, or a peasant who’s mostly ignored?

Constant assassination attempts would stress me out Not for me. I’ll stick to boring peasant life.
I actually have this character in an eternally unfinished comic who was going to become a royal with constant assassination attempts. From his experience, it’s a big nope.

A peasant who is ignored will get to live a peaceful, "boring" life. A royal with constant assassination attempts would not get to live at all. Living in fear, being paranoid and all... That's no life. So yes, a peasant is better.

But to choose royal or peasant?

I'd try being a royal been a peasant a lot of this life.

I'd be constantly surrounded by the best and most loyal warriors. They will definitely protect me because if I die, they can say goodbye to their privileged lifestyle.

Once knew a guy who used to be the chief bodyguard of a certain pro Marcos congressman... he told me he had constant gifts and bonuses. One was a gold ak 47. And he had 5 luxury cars.

The middle class (or upper end of working class in some countries) comprised of skilled or semi skilled workers. Entry to mid level tradesmen, short distance truck drivers, lab technicians, personal support worker, any job that requires a year of training at most to make you competent enough to do it.

I'll be the noble. I can handle intrigue, and I'm affable enough that I think I could quell most assassination attempts before they really got going. I have a head for geopolitics as it is, so being in a position of influence would suit me. the attempts are just the spice of life that show I'm making a difference!

A peasant. Believe it or not, A peasant's life is less dramatic than royalty. Which means, more safety despite being conscripted for war at some point.
