Would you read a comic with crappy art?

Hmmh, as always it depends on so much. First thing you are gonna look at is the art, right? I think it's like the first impression people get of your work, so it is very important for a creator, indeed.
I myself am not very easily satisfied, but would look past something like crappy art, if the story is amazing.
The most perfect thing would be, if everything is fine: art as well as the plot.

Depends on the genre and style the person is going for. If it's a comedic comic that acknowledges its inexperience in drawing like a comic titled: "Badly drawn scribbles with Tom". I'd read it because it isn't meant to be taken seriously.

There are simplistic art styles that aren't "bad". But can still be taken seriously and enjoyed.

But for intense drama and action etc in a story or something with a mature theme. I'd like for the story and art to go hand and hand. Both must be equally well for me to consider reading it.

Here's the thing about comics-- They're a visual medium. The art and storytelling shouldn't be separate, but work off each other to communicate effectively to the reader. One Punch Man, for example, doesn't have the stunning visuals that Ava's Demon has, but its style helps communicate its humor. A comic with 'bad' art isn't necessarily bad, and I think it has a lot to do with what is being communicated & the comic's purpose.

And keep in mind, there are lots of comics that start off with mediocre art but improve immensely because drawing and updating a comic every week WILL make you improve! Just compare the early pages of Paranatural with its most recent updates!

Well for me, if it sparks my interest then I would most definitely read it.

Yes, if the writing is good and the content original. I think that stands for a lot of people; looking at it soberly, the first draft on Attack on Titan didn't really have the best art. And look where it is now!

If it's a quick really funny humor, as long as it made me laugh real hard, then it doesn't need that really detailed awesome art

if it's a long form serious manga with human characters, it would bother me if the anatomy is way off and the art is too far from the quality of the 'real' manga I'm used to read
I probably wouldn't get past the first few pages to even know how good the writing is,
Unfortunately when it comes to visual medium, the art does matter, for me at least
