Writers, translators, editors! What are some good places to find online freelance work?

Title says it all, do you have any good recommendations? There seem to be a lot of websites out there, I'm not sure where to start. Thank you for the help!

try fiverr? i've seen a lot of different webtoon related gigs there ( and not only that ofc)

Depends on the type of writing. I’d say Wattpad but there’s obviously better places as original work doesn’t get as noticed there.

Not Upwork. Definitely not Upwork. They used to take just 10% off the top. Now it's 20%, and gone are the days when you could bid on an unlimited number of jobs. You get a handful of bids a month and if you want more you have to pay for them.

Worst of all, experience means nothing on their platform. They make a big deal about the work hours you accumulate but it doesn't really make you more successful. You can have thousands of hours on your profile and you'll still be competing with freelancers with barely a few dozen hours.

yes you can find freelance work there as editor or whatever you like. I just specify that i've seen people there who work as webtoon proofreaders as well as artist and singers and cleaners and all other things
