Is it ok for me to write about Period-typical anti-semitism, despite the fact that I'm not Jewish?

I'm asking this because I'm planning on having a line of were-bear huntresses in one of my comics, and the first one protected the Prague Ghetto from a were-bear that was sent to attack them by a group of anti-Semites.

Is it ok for me to write about this? Or should I rewrite this character and these scenes?

This is just a variation of the oft-asked questions about writing gay or black or asian or (fill in the blank) characters if you happen to not be one of the (fill in the blank). The general consensus seems to be that you need to do your research so you get facts right and also do it with some respect. If we couldn't write except about our own experiences we'd all be pretty dull story-tellers.

Honestly, for the respect of the event and the people who died in the tragedy, I agree with @Ordinaryaverageguy . Do as much research as you can so it doesn't feel like you're taking a overly sensitive topic lightly.

I would also recommend that you let others you trust review it before publishing the work, and I would recommend that you write a disclaimer as well.

Write your story and let it speak for itself. You need ZERO permissions to write about anything you want.

Go ahead. Its definitely something I'd like to read about.
