From time to time, I write a few songs, and I find it easy to write "narrative songs". Granted, every song is a narrative, but this type give a explicit story with names and a simple premise.
Think of "Rocky Raccoon" by The Beatles: Tells a story about a gunslinger whose woman leaves him for another man. He tries to win her back, but her new boo beats him at a shootout, and he dies in his hotel room.
So you could definitely do something like that.
