Now, hear me out. It is not for the reason you think. As much as I find what they did to Morph was not necessary because I find Morph was fine the way he was and as people know, I am not big of "swapping", it takes more than creative decision to make me not like something. I'm not that petty. Plus, the art was iffy to me because I found that it was too simplified for my taste which made the characters look less detailed in the ways I loved and as a result, all of them (not just the women) didn't look as nice, but it grew on me once I saw it in motion.
I also have to admit that it is very true to the true identity of the X-Men and the animated show of the 90s. You can tell love was put into it. And I will just say this as a friend: X-Men was always a liberal themed story even though it was not initially meant to be. When you're making a story about outcasts and oddballs, that's the direction it's going to take naturally.
My big problem with it is... it's just not clicking for me. Something about it is just missing that the classic 90s X-Men cartoon had. I can't put my finger on it, but when I watch it, I enjoy it though it's just not the same.
Do you any of you feel the same way despite accepting that X-Men '97 is good?
