Your biggest dreams or goals as a creator?

What are your biggest dreams or goals as a comic creator/storyteller? Do you plan to make it big and have many fans? Do you wish to have your story one day be animated? Or do you prefer to do something smaller like self publish etc?

I'd love it to have mine one day get animated or to have my favorite artist acknowledge my work, more than likely it'll never happen but it's nice to think about sometimes, more importantly I want to tell a good story and my goal is to self publish. Most of these are rather difficult to accomplishand not to mention printing a book is expensive, so for my more realistic goal I'm aiming to make it up to at least 500+ subscribers to my series Soul Ascendance so that I can one day join the support program.

In a perfect world : money. Money would be my goal. To live off of just a comic would make me happy beyond words.

Yet, I know that ain't gonna happen for many a year. If at all. So, setting my standards more realistically, the end goal is to finish. I've kind of been harboring this plot line within me for ages. Seeing it come to it's conclusion would be amazingly satisfying, money or no money. Finishing something is one of the best feelings, and finishing this particular something is high on my list of things I want to do.

I'd like to publish a novel. Or a short story. Also a collection of poetry. Some sort of book. I'm usually wary of movie versions of books but I would pounce on an avant-garde arthouse film adaptation of any of my stories. Wierdness is the endgame.

Right now, though, I want to finish my webcomic and have people like it enough to read my future comics. :B

My two main goals are to complete the stories I've had stuck in my head for so long and wanted to share, and to be able to make a living doing what I love. I know it's VERY difficult, but it's something I'm more than willing to work for.

I'd like to have an Eisner Award-winning all-ages graphic novel series that allows me and my family to travel the world so I can be on convention panels and appear at international book signings. I'd like the novel series to be offered several animation deals, which result in a long-running cartoon show with my main character voiced by Mila Kunis, and given an Emmy in its 3rd season. I'd like to see Stephen Colbert get a full sleeve tattoo of one of my characters on live television. Those things would be pretty nice.

Currently, goal is just to have fun creating something of quality. Big dream goal, I'd be super happy if Scholastic happened to give us a call wanting to publish us. ;D

That's still a ways away, so till then I'm quite content creating and interacting with our fan base.

I actually, received a piece of fan mail, from a mother of a fan, a few days ago that quite literally floored me. She wrote that her daughter is our biggest fan. Her daughter has bought each of the printed books at the local comic store, and even tells other kids in the store to try out our comic. She's made a homemade Oops shirt and wears it all the time. And as if all that wasn't even to melt my heart, she thinks that I'm the coolest person, because she met me once at a comic convention and signed her comics. She wrote that her daughter is inspired that I'm a girl in comics and wants to be an artist too when she grows up. <3

All Jeramy and I ever wanted to do with Oops is to inspire kids to pursue arts and encourage them to read. So as far as I'm concerned, I've made it and everything else is just icing ontop of the cake.

As far as something tangible, then making money off of my work would be nice! But I agree with @CyndiFoster about inspiring young minds and other readers out there! THAT would be amazing. It makes it all the more worthwhile if I am able to affect others through my art!

"Make money for making comics" is what our staff is hoping to achieve with creators.

1) We have Monetization programs. Premium is our most recent addition and we've been offering full-time contracts to top creators on Tapastic.

2) You are at the right place because Tapastic is where other companies in various find great talent. Want to get discovered by book publishers, game developers, etc.? We have success cases!

Yep, my husband and I self publish Oops. It's a little more work but totally worth it in the long run to be in charge of our own comic until we land the publishers we want.

My biggest goal is to head to a big convention like Fanime ... and be recognized by someone. Money would be nice too, though!

My biggest goals are to inspire others and fuel the imaginations of others, maybe even get a fandom going eventually if I'm lucky.
But realistically, I want to finish Legend of John the Parakeet, as the plot for that story has been haunting me ever since I originally wrote it as a short novel.

I've always been the type of person who excels at ideas and refining those ideas-- but then fails when it comes to actually following through on them. So my biggest goal is actually to pull through and accomplish my ideas!
After that my biigest dream is so make a series that maybe one day my biggest comic idol would happen to read or acknowledge. Or to make the plot of my story interesting enough to get people to never forget it.

Funny because I always wanted my favorite manga idol to one day see my work and acknowledge it as well! Can't believe I forgot to add that. I also want to pull through with my ideas but I'm never satisfied with anything.

Maybe getting paid for drawing comics, and getting paid enough that I don't need a job and I can focus on comics! (which is still a job of course but a fun job) Of course in reality, not only is this impossible in the near future but also infeasible since I have to focus on my studies as well and can't actually work full time, even I was offered a job. xD
