so There was a War is on hiatus, and in that time so far ive been building my skills by experimenting with style and observing other comics, and writing and thumbnailing new issues so ill have a nice big buffer in the spring when it returns.

I'm just going over my schedule and I'm glad my buffer will work it's way out into May. Planning to be finished either end of the month or start of Feb. Not bad.

My buffer for Ray Thunder Ch 1 is coming to an end- as the well as the chapter itself. Currently scripting Ch2- been dealing with issues like an annoying cough from time to time, as well as a tooth issue(going to the dentist to have said tooth removed soon). Also working on smaller projects(like prints) and trying to work on an installment of my printed series The Clique as well.

Gonna be at least a month between the end of Ch 1 & beginning of Ch 2- hoping somewhere during that time to look into some techniques to improve on my coloring, but we'll see...

For Legio Arcana, doing final touch edits on the later pages of chapter three and starting on chapter four (pencils and inks). Aiming to get chapter four done in time that chapter three can be changed from updating once to twice a week!

My comic is Galebound -- sadly the main characters will not be bound for the Gale for a few more years (spoiler alert!), but bound by the Gale? Always.

This year I'm hoping to explain a bit more of what it means to be "galebound" in-universe, which is to say why Conan is so dang important to overthrowing the kingdom of Cymaria, why Cymaria sent an assassin after him and not the self-proclaimed anarchist, and if I'm really lucky this year I'll get to reveal the assassin's identity in what is seriously one of my favorite scenes. There will be hints of answers throughout the rest of this chapter, but probably I'm just going to raise a lot more questions.

Long story short, I'm hoping to (properly) introduce both of these jerks this year:

My comic is Re:Set, it started on a wacky ride when I throw all kinds of explosions, shock values and magical actions for the readers.

This year, it's time to settle down and focus on world-building. You'll find out what actually happened behind all the action-y scenes, and that this world is truly a changed world

And new characters, yay!

My Friends in Distantland is a pretty young comic. It's only in its second chapter of its first book. Basically, I'm setting up the known world for the protagonist right now. The first chapter was about the guy who will call her to adventure and how he's hiding in her house and why.

I have a lot of characters that are yet to appear. Like, some mentors, allies, and enemies. The main hero, Cathryn, is a little girl who thinks she knows about everything. Once she steps outside her known world, she realizes how little she actually knows. Much of her story is her trying to find her own answers because both the human and monster sides are skewed with bias. She also has to try bringing these two conflicting cultures together because there's a much bigger threat taking down both sides indiscriminately.

I also intend to tell a lot of jokes along the way. I think that'll keep people's interest longer in a story like this.

That's nice Well as for me...the first few pages are gonna be so jam packed with action I don't know how long it'll take me to make. It's gonna be really explosive and a lot of effort is gonna be put into it. At the moment with SPIRE I'm trying to figure out all the stuff that goes down during the second half of the story and building the world that used to be before the last species that dominated their world disappeared. I'm also developing the surviving characters from the dead society and figuring out their style of archetecture (I want to go for an ancient greek kinda look?). I'm currently working on OctopusFWB, a story about a girl, her first relationship with a boy, and her best friend who is a bisexual octopus. The three of them end up in a poly relationship, which is weird to them since they are all in a relationship for the first time.

The book is meant to be light-hearted relationship humor, with some off-panel sexual deviance. Because the characters are in an unconventional relationship, things won't always be rosy. But my intention is to say away from being overly preachy about tolerance.

The first book is completed and the second one is drawn and inked, getting shaded now. I'm running a comic strip series using the same characters in order to help promote the story. I've been hitting as many website that I can to promote it without trying to be annoying.

So far the responses I'm getting are positive. I am running a blog on the main website, updating it about 4 times a week with a little essay about my process. I'm also putting up some promotional art with those posts. And for people who email me, I send a PDF of the entire first issue.

I have about four chapters of buffer, but I'm dreading the prospect of making more pages.
I know I have enough right now, but what happens when school starts?
I'm really angry at myself because I'd planned to draw lots and lots of buffer pages in the time I had.
So I'll likely either have to cut back my update schedule and/or take a hiatus.

I'm just really irritated right now.

Cosmos Song is still pretty young at the moment, it's going to be reaching its halfway mark in the story around chapter 6. The comic is currently in to its 4th chapter (longest chapter in the comic so far) and will be heading in to the 5th chapter in about a month. Some of the characters that have previously been seen in the comic but only appear to have minor roles will be properly introduced later and will play a vital role in the story.

My main goal at the moment is to crank out as many buffer pages as possible while I can. I'll be going away for almost a week pretty soon and I want to make sure I have enough pages to present during that time :]!

Welcome Back is an old comic so no new changes will be made besides the plot progressing. It's kinda a weird dream based comic but for what happens next past chapter 4 is gonna get a bit crazy. So far most of the characters have been introduced. The comic itself is about a bunch of people who share a dreamworld and deal with struggles within it. It has two parts, the original story and it's sequel. If you like weird creepy dystopian worlds and dreams this comic is basically just that.

Certain spoilers that happens:

Annie gains weird powers.

Introduced some weird elephant creature side characters.

Twins return

And jacob finally comes back

I'm also working on a new comic and making a buffer for that. Gotta see how I can deal with having a job and keeping a normal schedule before I post. The comic is called All Broken Gods and it involves demons, curses, murder, deception and delusions. It's half serious half pulpy and campy.

@agentfink and @Quinineer, I am so impressed (and jealous) with your buffers! I'd planned to have a bigger buffer for Heroic Shenanigans coming off my hiatus at the end of the year, but right now I'm only a page and a half ahead...which is better than I was last year, so i'll take my small victories!

So right now I'm mostly trying to build up a buffer, but I also want to update my banner and thumbnail to hopefully make them a little more eye-catching. I also want to make a "thanks for subscribing" image, I've noticed a lot of artists have those and I think it's a nice way to show your subscribers that you notice and appreciate them.

Just barely hitting the midway point for Chapter 5 of Kongene Faller, which is supposed to be the chapter where the overall antagonist is revealed but I have yet to do so ;_; It's been on chapter 5 for a year and a half...I'd probably be able to get it done faster if I didn't have to deal with going into hiatus every other week because of classes >>;

speaking of buffer, the other comic I'm planning, In Memoriam, is nearing my requirement for buffer. Originally I only aimed for 50 pages, but it looks like I'm basically finishing up the first chapter with the buffer alone, so I'm just gonna do that before finally uploading it in April. I want to upload it sooner but I know school's gonna deplete the buffer and I don't want to get stuck updating two full-color comics <_>
