The Halloween design I made for this one strip in Because It's Me... (Ignore the text haha ;v; )
Frankly, all the characters present in my comic are my favorite designs <:) Otherwise I wouldn't be making a longform comic with them! However, out of my comic - top two have to be these two. I actually dressed up as the shorter one for halloween last year (and looking the same for this year too!)
Outside of my comic and still a story in progress is this guy :o
These are my fav from Two Faced
I've almost completed the magic arc on livNPC's official website so the fans of the tapastic version haven't seen this yet. This is a video game parody of the white rabbit.
It was both fun and a huge pain having to draw it over and over and over again for six chapters straight. The feet were intentionally designed to be small and almost none existent. I especially love the hair chain that clips the mask in place.
OH GEEZ that's a tough one! Let's see,
I recently redesigned a character who's gonna show up in Chapter 3 and I'm REALLY happy with her, it's AMAZING how much getting a design that works can help you fall in love with a character again ;u;
but my absolute favourite to draw is and will always be my eternally frustrated necromancer
I just really enjoy his crook-nosed cheekboned face for some reason ;v;
@heterodont - OH MY GOSH I love the look of ALL of them?? You have tremendously appealing designs, these are so great!! * o *
@shazzbaa Thank you!!! ;o; I'm glad you think that! The characters you posted are super nice as well! Excellent color choice outfit wise (and great outfits at that too). You have a very great and aesthetically pleasing style too!
@shazzbaa That necromancer has some pretty good faces!
If I have to pick one, my favorite to this point is probably Hippo Christ (though technically, that comic isn't on Tapastic yet):
Oh wow. This is a SUPER-HARD question, because, uh, I have 400+ characters to choose from. ;-_- I'm kind of addicted to creating characters. Like, I've done the 100 Characters Meme, and couldn't even fit HALF of my characters in there.
But here goes!
I really, truly like Masahiro's design. It might sometimes be a pain to draw with all the details and stuff, but I like how it's not just some clothes - it's his personality coming through in the costume design. Also, fairly neutral colours = looks good in 99% of lighting conditions. Also, it's a nice challenge to design around the fact that he only has one hand, and chooses to hide the other in his sleeve.
I've got some other designs in Grassblades that I really like, but I can't show them because SPOILERS and all.
So moving on to other fictional universes....
Scifi-verse!
This is Vesto! She's been kicking around in my head for a while, but I finally sat down and did a proper design for her a couple of years ago, when I decided to pitch a comic for an anthology (which I was unfortunately rejected for - but hey, the comic got published somewhere else!). Vesto is a space-adventurer who does a lot of landing on strange asteroids, exploring forgotten planets and climbing on stuff, so I went with both space-suit and sensible-shorts-with-big-pockets elements in her design. The blue circles on her face are implants that allow her to turn her blue visor on and off,
And here's her antagonist - Niyorah Tri-Eyes, the scrapdealer/pirate. Because who DOESN'T like space-pirates with rusty metal prostethics and synthetic third eyes? XD
There's a bunch of other characters in the same universe - a ship's AI that wanders about in a robot body, a salamander-based alien fellow who works as a pilot but only because he got kicked out of a guild for exo-linguists, Vesto's brother who is an interstellar diplomat, Niyorah's sidekick who is a gun-slinging, stone-faced lady of an alien species very vaguely based on a lemur, etc.
.... Honestly, I have more ideas than I know what to do with.
Polyphemus is my precious child, and I kind of like the fact that his design is still 99% the same as it was the first time I ever drew him...
But other than my comic? It's gotta be one of two other characters, and I'm not sure I can decide...This one is Ebonezer and unfortunately this is the best drawing I have of him right now, so you can't really see the colours of his clothes and skin. ): He's still fab though!
This character is Rebecca and I've had her forever, so she holds a special place in my heart. Besides, I kinda love her potato-sack dress and her star-shaped necklace. One day I'm going to make one like it for myself!
My favorites so far definitely come from an in-progress side project I'm working on related to my comic.
I really like the design of your character, it has the Dragon Ball Z type look but, at the same time it looks different.
Out of all the designs I have made I would say the protagonist of my comic Seishin Patona, Zethero. Despite this design being made more than a year ago no design seems as symbolic to the character itself.
I've got a few
- Is sorta related to my comic, I wanted to make something that looked majestic but also surreal and a little out of place.
- Probably the most designed creature I've ever made. I'm not going to say what it is but it's from a speculative xenobiology project.
- Design from a fantasy story I never got around to finishing a year ago. I like it because it gives of a sense of wisdom and I also just like dryads
- I think i was trying to draw an angel or a Valkyrie i don't remember but i really like the hair in this one. Wing heads are cool.
- This was made from a draw a day challenge which was to make your favorite food into a character, I like strawberry cheese cake so that largely why I like this design quite a bit.
