Your fear as a creator?

My biggest fear usually is the specific techniques and genres I write about. They're very specialized, and do not follow many of the conventions in creative writing.

I think one of my biggest fears right now with my comic strip is that people won't find it funny and will just click off. That, and people not liking any arcs I do and just wanting me to go back to gag-a-day stuff. Or if I try any emotional/deeper things, people won't like it as much as the funny stuff. Lot of things, really.I have a lot of fears with future projects too, but focusing on the now, yeah, quite a bit! But I also think it's normal to be afraid of your own comics future and your own abilities. I wish I could be brazenly confident, but I think I'm comfortable where I am.

Things I fear : people hating my stories, hating characters that I like etc.
That people won't understand or like my story because I somehow failed to convey what I meant, or failed to make things interesting. That I'll start something and never finish it, that I'm not good enough (blah blah blah)

My biggest fear though, is that one day I'll let my low self confidence get the better of me and give up.

Well I'm mostly afraid that people will jump into conclusions and leave before reading the whole story, which might have a great plot twist that they'd definitely love... but they will never get to that part because of some bias they come up with.

I'm always fearing critique. I'm always bummed when I hear your art sucks and then I practice and practice and it's like nothing has change, but recently I went from shit art to below average so that's a plus.

My biggest fear is not being able to make my comics. I have cried over this. >_>;;

I also worry about people not understanding or getting whats going on in my comic. I feel like I do things quite well, but I freak out when someone is completely missing something.

I also fear getting critic on my comic over all. I feel like it could shatter the story I want to tell.

Not related to the creation process, but my fear is not being able to create anymore, either from losing interest, not having enough time/money, or becoming disfigured. The latter is the most terrifying.
Other than that, there's nothing I'm scared of as a creator.

My greatest fear is that I'm not good enough to write what I want to. As of late, I've been pushing the fear aside by thinking of who I'm writing for.

Like others I fear of not being good enough as both a writer or an artist. Also unable to continue my works due to disfigurement as I have a lot still want to work on.

My biggest fear is wasting any more time. To be clear, my definition of wasting time is creating stuff that doesn't have a particular special meaning to me. I don't think whispering into the void is a waste of my time, if I enjoyed sharing that particular story.

I just fear wasting my time on projects I don't care about.

I never really understood why people judge something biased on a bunch of random people they've never met. I mean a fan base could be bad but the content can still be good. Just categorize yourself as a specific type of fan if you're afraid of being associated with those people; is what I'd say to anyone not wanting to get into something based on purely the fanbase alone.

My biggest fear is probably that my writing is crap but everyone is too nice to tell me ><
After that would probably that I'll never go anywhere with my writing. Like I'll get no traction and I'll never be good enough to be noticed/liked

I'm paranoid about accidentally lifting someone else's material.
It'd suck because
1. An idea I thought was mine wasn't (thus, I'm not so clever)
2. Nobody would believe it was an accident (thus, I'm a jerk)
3. The artist/writer I ripped off- likely someone whose work I'd admired) would be mad at me (thus, a hero knows me as a shameless, no-talent crook.)

It torments me to think that I might not have what it takes to show what makes my characters special to me. If I can't show that, I'll have failed them.

I guess I'm kinda scared of those kinds of fans who call themselves "fans" but completely rip into both the author and the content and will go out of their way to find anything remotely "problematic" and complain about it. Usually escalates into taking things out of context and exaggerating over minor details, sending the creator death threats and releasing their private info to the public, that kind of stuff... People like that genuinely terrify me... I don't know why or how anyone would follow that kind of herd mentality where they are literally putting a stranger's wellbeing at risk.

giving up and leaving the story without an end, even a shit story needs and ending, what I hate most is when the web comics I find have no ending even if it's dead for over a year the least the author can do is give it a walking in the sunset ending =/
