I did not know who Toguro is and had to google it and read a short bio.
Daecon, as a Dunamis (the highest, most powerful class of shapeshifter) has incredible self-healing powers. If shot with a gun the wounds created by the bullet heal just as fast as the bullet is passing through him., so that it appears as though the bullet passes through without even touching anything. Were he ever to suffer a wound that could not be healed so quickly he would simply need to change into one of his animal forms and all would be healed instantly (shapeshifting involves rearranging the body's cells, and in that rearranging healing is also done). Because of this he is nearly immortal - it would take an enormous and instant force to kill him.
He is also incredibly strong: Unique among the shapeshifters, he can harness his animal strengths while in human form. Because he has a nearly unlimited shapeshifting ability (most shifters can only shift into one or two different animals, he can shift into any vertebrate) he could access elephant strength, cheetah speed, dolphin agility, and more. Technically he could even harness the strength of Toguro himself, since he could take Toguro's form if he thought about it. Daecon can also form hybrids, so he could actually improve on Toguro's form by growing wings and flying, having armoured skin like a rhino, etc.
He would make a very formidable enemy... if only he knew any of this. He is new to the shapeshifting world, having only just discovered that he is a shapeshifter and not yet grasping the fact that he is the most powerful one of them.
However, as Daecon has said himself, he is a lover, not a fighter. He can defend himself quite effectively (and has done so even as a child while fighting off bullies) but he will rarely, if ever, use more force than required. He just wants to be left the hell alone. Just don't fuck with his family.
Were a fight to happen between him and Toguro I would say that it would be an epic and drawn out battle, but one that was limited because if I read correctly about Toguro he only uses enough force to win, which is exactly how Daecon would fight. My guess is that the two would fight until they got bored or forgot what they were fighting about. They would part ways with a deep respect for each other.
And Daecon would totally ask Toguro out on a date. The man has no filter.
