Great insights, everyone. I appreciate the comments. I discussed this issue on a Webcomics Alliance podcast the other night and they echoed a lot of the same sentiments you folks have.
I haven't fully decided what to do, but I'm thinking tapastic is going to be my primary delivery method of El Cuervo, mainly because of the ease of updates, the audience, and support from community and staff.
I do plan on keeping the site up, but I will use that as the 'extra' features for things like Cast of Characters, Maps, The Story to Date, and other information about the story. I think I may even archive the first 5-10 issues as a sampler and kick people over here for more. I'm not so concerned about 'branding' as this is going to be a web exclusive comic and I'm more focused on this as a 'project' rather than a source of employment.
