I'm not sure I understand the graphic, but Tapastic seems to be pretty cool with their mascot. Generally, as with all things, if you're not claiming it's yours and linking to the actual owner it's OK.

mmhmm, yeah i haven't seen THAT big of a story base, just mini subplots here and there, so it really would be in your best interest. Tell me if you do so!
The first line is important, I skim through the rest of it. From there I rely on the art and stuff to judge how a comic is worth. Also there's a topic here on the forums to describe your comic in three words. good practice.
^Community is VERY important. Talking around, you tend to leave a mark on the site. I can recognize many people on this site, because they come up often. I have a series that isn't even meant to be serious, yet I have 20+ subs (it scares me)
I don't think about it that much. If I have something I feel like is humorous/worthy enough, shoot, go for it. One of the reasons I actually made an account was to make the joke everyone missed.
