I don't think it would be weird at all the way you describe the relationships. And honestly pretty refreshing because I don't think this is a part of most plots I've encountered. :3

The one I've been enjoying most and which I sometimes think about out of the blue is Sleepless Domain: https://www.sleeplessdomain.com/comic/chapter-1-cover It's a magical girl story with some bad cards dealt along the way. I find the main characters and their emotional struggles compelling. <3 Ne…

Blambot is a great website! I generally recommend the font Anime Ace, it's fun and easy to read. But they also have more "serious" fonts, if you prefer that.

Most of the time, a quick walk before starting makes it easier for me to concentrate on tasks. If I struggle really hard to keep discipline up, I check my current lifestyle choices (e.g. if there's a sleep cycle problem, too much caffeine etc.) or work on dissolving problems that drain me emotional…

So far I always had female main characters in my projects... ^^

Thanks for the thread! You can find my wacky fantasy one-shot Loveliest Potion here: See you ;3

Hello! Do you want to know what might happen if a gold digger gets to meet a love potion witch? Well, here is my funny and light one-shot comedy/ fantasy story without dialogue (SMA14 contest entry) to explore just that! I will update every second day. ^_^

I love the fault Milestone series... still waiting for the translated sequels. sigh

I was very happy with Sycra's private mentorship: https://www.patreon.com/Sycra However, it's hard to get a patreon slot as they tend to be sold out. You may try contacting him to see if he can offer extra hours. He also has lots of free youtube tutorial videos, so it's worth checking out eitherway. …

Good luck! It might help if you post what length the script should be or if you have any preferences regarding the story, e.g. how many characters it should have at most.

That's great! It might be more work if you want to keep up the standard but it's an acceleration towards mastery. It's easy to get lazy so these kind of kicks in the "mental butt" might be necessary sometimes...

Hmm, so far I like Alice Nakiri, Megumi Tadokoro and Soma the most. ^^

Nice! I'll add my ongoing list too... Anime Boku no Hero Academia Quan Zhi Gao Shou Little Witch Academia Manga Platinum End Shokugeki no Soma Hiyokoi Cartoon Steven Universe Bojack Horseman Rick and Morty

I don't mind when panel numbers vary, it's the punchline that needs to strike. If you want to be correct with the terminology, you probably should just call them gag comics or something like that instead of 4koma.

Never got them (gladly). I find them useless but also harmless. Pushes the stats at least?

I love "typical" anime/ manga styles (big eyes, pointy chins, what have you...) and for most part draw in a style influenced by Japanese art due to that myself. I don't care what others may think of that as I am used to being "odd" and will happily continue walking that path. It feels true to me.…

Art needs to be at least somewhat appealing to me to want to continue reading a comic. If I can't find anything about I like, I don't see the point of not reading a book instead (as there are a lot I plan to read anyway). If the style shows that the person puts in a lot of effort (artist tries dif…

Sure! CSP has a lot of great tutorials on the original site: http://www.clipstudio.net/en/howto Also it's a good idea to read the manuals they have in their downloads section: http://www.clipstudio.net/en/dl

Thanks a lot! This is a great point of reference for future projects that I want to have a different atmosphere as it can be hard to put one's finger on it.

If you have enough time, I'd appreciate a review: Stuff That Totally Happened

I can only manage drinks while working because eating keeps me too occupied to draw. So I usually get a coffee, coke or our nice tap water... Sometimes I have phases of high tea consumption. ;D

I prefer your handdrawn background as well. But! If you do need bricks like these often, there is a solution: Drawing the texture yourself! If the resolution is big enough, you can transform it any way you need, there might just be a need to adjust the line thickness. Your software should usually …

You can try contacting the Tapastic staff, maybe they can turn it off for you manually.

Wow, very nice art! It is rare to see such diligent buildings. What's the story about?

No problem: The link in the first post goes to episode 83 Cheap Education, seems to be a permanent link of that episode.

I will give honest feedback. The reason why you have a lot of views and relatively low sub count might be the art. You can for example improve anatomy (especially hands and body poses), backgrounds (at the moment it's often simple or just a color fill), line quality (work towards smoother lines an…

I tend to start with a rough head because it's most of the time the main focus. Sometimes I make a quick sketch of the whole body pose if there's some more planning involved. (Especially with multiple characters in a drawing.)

I'm not sure if it was mentioned yet but improving one's art will attract new people as well. It's the most easy way to see that you put in a lot of effort. Other than improving character art (design, anatomy) it also really shows when artists work on their backgrounds, typography and paneling sk…

I don't think it's the same but can work well together. Let's say: You might have an interesting premise of plot (catchiness) but also have characters who feel like real people or even face similar problems like a lot of the reader audience (relatability). I'd say catchiness might be what gets…

Short answer yes. Slightly longer answer: Yes, but you'll attract different people depending on which elements are part of your story. It's best to work out what your story needs to work instead of trying to catch on to force some fads in.
