Long as you're enjoying yourself and putting in effort to improve you're doing fantastic in my opinion.
Nah, do it. I'm gonna try to read everything put on here!
Oh boy, it's been a while since I've made this thread. I got a lot of catching up to do....
Hey, I'm happy you're making a comic and I hope you're having fun with it. Obviously you have a lot of room for improvement, but don't let that stop you from doing this if you really like it. There's a lot to learn when you're creating a comic or story, so take it at your own pace and always try…
Nah, don't count yourself out. There's probably nothing out there that's completely original, but that's fine. Fiction has been around for as long as there have been people, there's no way we haven't thought of pretty much everything so far. Like I said, just make something for you, put your own…
People are different at the core, pal. Just make something you really love and I promise it'll be unique and special on its own, because you are unique and special. Just like everyone else.
A lot of my friends are super passionate about making comics so I can't ignore this without giving them some love! Yokoka's Quest Guardia Tiny Ray Gun Parisa
Hey man, nobody is gonna expect a masterpiece from the very first thing you do, to get more experience in anything, you have to just start doing the thing. My one regret in making comics isn't that my stuff was bad at first, it's that I didn't start sooner.
It might not work if you want an original monster name, but I personally like to pull things from mythology or folklore. You don't need to copy them outright though, you can always put your own spin on monsters.
Yeah, pretty much everything in my comic. Might not be super obvious right now though.
Don't worry about the actual number of pages, just focus on getting your story down. If a chapter is 13 pages, so be it. As long as you tell the story it's fine, you shouldn't shorten or pan out stories in my opinion.
No problem, you'll have it all down in no time. Never stop growing!
Hello, I just read through your comic and subbed and all that. It's a real nice read actually, the art is nice and the story isn't hard to follow. I think if I need to give any advice on what to improve, it might be that the characters sometimes feel a bit static with their posing and emotion. Eas…
Ooh, that does sound really scary. :0
It definitely shows! It's cool to think that this stuff might not be science fiction one day.
I can't wait to see what happens next, I like how you portrayed all the future technology, it's actually very close to what people think the future might really be like with augmented reality and such. There's a lot of little themes going around and I want to see what you end up doing with them!
Finished Mighty Glad just now! I'm getting a "shining light in the dark" vibe from this one, I'm excited to see where you take it in the future! The thorn border is a nice touch too, by the way!
I love stories! It doesn't matter if you're a pro or a novice, I'd like to read your story. This isn't for critiques or anything like that, I just want to spread some happiness and love for the many comics people put their hearts into. Link me your story, I'll talk to you about it after!
Okay, this is something I've been thinking a lot about, too. I read in spurts usually, rather then a page at a time. I'm experimenting with updating with segments of story (around 2-7 pages worth) rather then a single page. I'd like to hear more about what readers think of this.
Just as there are many different styles of art, there are many different styles to creating a story. So you know where I'm coming from, I write my comic without plotting in advance, I don't have a storyboard but a bunch of plot-points to carry myself along. There's a term for this in writing actua…
Wow, that's rough, dude. I don't personally read comics like that, but I'm lend an ear if you need someone to talk too.
You know what, I really am wondering if it's even worth worrying about people reading it at all. It's really sad to see that there's few or no people reading what you put out, especially when you put a lot of effort and time into making something. There's this need to feel validated, a need to k…
I need to be more social here too, I haven't made a post in months... (1) : Blue (2) : Rabbits, all of them, forever. (3) : I don't drink alcohol. (4) : I enjoy Coffee! (5) : I have a huge passion for telling stories! I feel like it's part of who I am in a big way. I've only started almost a year …
If you ask me, I'd say yeah, a serious comic has a place here. It could use more features to help it out, I think though. What comes to mind is maybe something to be able to build a community around a comic on Tapastic, like a discussion board or along those lines.
I'm in on this! Here is my comic in case it's needed, but I wouldn't mine getting anything.
I'd love to be a part!
I'm glad you like it, I like to keep things colorful, even the characters!
Since I really should do more promotion for my comic, I'll join in on the fun here and talk about my comic: The Story of Anima cool fights, fun adventures, and good times. If you like big, colorful casts of characters, awesome action scenes, and grand adventure all with a fun tone like I do t…
Well whatever you find fun, do it. It's actually important to your mental health.
This is a lot of work. Don't forget to have fun in your life!
