This is my completed novel, Journey to Elvander. Giant robots, a sarcastic villain, and a world war waiting to happen... so there's that.
Hey there my fellow writers! I'm working on creating a bundle to get some of these wonderful novels here out to the masses. It's still in the brainstorming stages, but basically I'm looking to get about 5 other stories and put them in one big bundle to distribute through Amazon, Kobo, iBooks, and …
I fall under Apatheism... so yeah.
Lol the spreadsheet is just as good so no worries
Most definitely, I'm going to catch up on Love for an Angel then move on to the horror stories ASAP
I just started one, but sadly no sign ups yet I'm hoping to have a newsletter exclusive ready to use as a sweet bribe!
Usually, if I have a favorite comic that offers one I would jump on it like a shark on...pizza?
I'm glad you're taking the time to read it! I've seen your comments and hopefully it doesn't disappoint you! I'm going to check out Love for an Angel right as soon as I finish this response.
I use Scrivener and it uses an awesome word tracker that splits it between how far you are to reach your manuscript goal and how close you are to reaching your session goal which is pretty neat if you need to hit a certain word goal for the day.
I just finished my occult detective graphic novel with The Helium Whale of The Moon and The Fox and I'm now currently on a fantasy novel called The Exile. It's about an ex-member of a team of exorcists who must now aid them in a battle for the world. I finished writing it and basically have the sche…
Hello I'm CireWire, the writer of Devil Sunrise and The Exile. Usually I lurk the forum and try to jump on if I have the time! I've been writing for a couple years and I'm glad to say that Tapas helped me gain a family of creators who respect and love each other! I love reading the comics and novels…
When I wrote Devil Sunrise, I always had a page by page weekly update in mind. Mind you, this was before I realized vertical webcomics was a thing. By the time I uploaded the first page, I discovered the vertical format. So if I knew about that format beforehand I would for sure do a whole chapte…
I was raised to be catholic, but then my dad become a born-again christian, so religion was always the basis of our life decisions and the way we approached certain things. My 10-year-old self would never, ever, in a million years touch something like Devil Sunrise. As I got older, I felt that relig…
I PM'd you through Tapastic, if you're still interested. Thank you!
Devil Sunrise is activated. I made an announcement via Twitter and through the Tapastic post. We haven't made an episode for it since I don't draw the comic and Nathasha might be a bit busy to drop everything to jump on a single page detour. All tipping is welcome except for bovine creatures, you kn…
I grew up around comics. My dad always had Spider-Man, Batman, The Avengers, and Spawn comics inside an old cooler. My dad liked comics, but he didn't share my same level of appreciation for them. As a result, he gave me all the comics he ever owned for my own personal enjoyment. I always enjoyed…
From my experience (you don't need to follow these) I would say: Save merch, monetizing, and all that jazz in the back burner. You want to build a fan base and content first--always. Your readership is always your priority, the money will follow eventually. Everything you do is to benefit your rea…
Game of Thrones, both the book (A Song of Fire and Ice) and the television series are known for ripping their readers/viewers heart, then chewing it, and then proceeded by spitting it back out while they watched. Yet, no one ever said "I'm not going to read/watch this series ever again!" because YOU…
Such beauty! That's a sexy piece of machinery
I personally think it's easier to have a buffer of pages before you launch a series. I hardly draw my comics nowadays, but I still give the series at least a month of updates before I launch it. That way if the artist or I have other projects, personal things, or gets sick, we won't have to scramble…
I like to say I'm an automobile enthusiast, especially the Rat Rod variety.
Hello! I love your style, so sick! Can't wait to check out more of it! I'm Eric, the writer and letterer for Devil Sunrise, which is a take on the occult detective genre starring newbie, Sam Guevara. You can check out the artist, Nathasha Padron's series here as well, The Moon and The Fox. I'm c…
Congrats! Your story truly deserves it! It's all uphill from there!
I sent you a private message.
Your story is very interesting! I ended up reading 14 pages of it. With that said, as said in the above responses, if you don't want to pursue hand-lettering then I highly suggest using Adobe Illustrator for your lettering. A lot of comic letterers swear by it and it does wonders! You can read the L…
I have a few that I refuse to let out of my pile of works, even some that I drew myself when I was 14 (ewwww). No ones seen them, not even my family! The ones I solely written are still saved in my hard drive. The artists were fantastic, but my writing was so bad that I just couldn't bring myself to…
Lately, it's been The Lumineers' latest album, but I have Pandora or 8tracks on for specific moods when I write.
Anything with an interesting story, respects the reader, and no fan-service (if the story is good, I'll try my best to overlook it). I understand that some tropes are over-used, but if they approach it differently, I'll read it. Slice of life gag comics are my kryptonite though. I'll read thousand…
