I eat Potatoes and run the comic Understanding Nothing, which is about trying to be successful in life. Its supposed to be one of those feel-good comics as I'm throwing in a joke or two in every strip.
When making my webcomic Understanding Nothing, i tend to put on some Anime/Video Game/Cartoon Soundtracks i like. If I'm really uncomfortable, ill either make myself some baked potatoes and/or have a shower. I find taking a 15-30 min break playing your favorite game helps too (cough Splatoon 1). …

It really depends. For Comedy comics you might to aim slightly for the Quantity side, because sometimes your jokes just don't hit. While is the opposite for Plot line comics.
