it's a chore to try and convince people outside of Tapas to create Tapas accounts when they read your comic Completely true. Some people only ever comment on the preview image posted on DeviantArt despite reminders that comments are greatly prefered on the Tapas page itself, not the preview. Peopl…

I see this show up on every page. No variety and I feel it's unfair to smaller creators. [image]

Oh I agree, I just kind of squicked me out and it's on every page.

The "more like this series" shows the same 4 comics every time, 3 of which look to be from the same artist, (the other has one character licking the other's ear! Eww). Would it not make more sense/be fairer to promote other series by the same creator as the one you're looking at and/or other seri…

If it's not "Anime-style" romance or BL they don't promote it.

Ever since the changeover I've noticed our likes, shares etc. have taken a nosedive and we were never that popular to begin with. It can't be unconnected. Someone else said this before, but it's totally unfair to promote super-popular comics us wee guys cannot hope to compete with on the right han…

Unsure if this is coincidence, but I noticed far less shares of my comic since the change.

Desktop or phone, I find that scrolling is easier for both. But that's the only thing I feel works for both. I don't use a 'phone for the internet, I only have one to receive calls.

I've never been on that site either, so every time I hear 'Smack Jeeves' I keep thinking it's an off-colour PG Wodehouse novel!

Yeah, I try to have USB drives of everything I'm not OK about losing. Just wondered if there was a shortcut so I could get the early stuff back.

It's funny you say that because someone actually did once steal one of our comics and posted it to DeviantArt without credit! I had to get the admins involved as the uploader was impossible to talk to.

I have copies of about 2 thirds of them, but the older ones might be harder to get back as they're on computers that broke a few years ago.

Same here - for the most part, but some are on old broken computers.

I do have copies for most of them, but some are on broken computers so I can't get those back. I understand the no-dowload protection, but I would have thought dowloading one's own stuff would be OK.

Just asking if anyone knows if it's possible to download all of one's comics en masse? I don't relish the prospect of having to screencap' all the ones I no longer have access to. Given the way Tapas is going, I think it's more important than ever to get offline copies of everything. Thansk to any…

If the worst comes to the worst, is there a way to mass download all one's past work? I don't relish the task of having to screencap all the comics I don't have copies of anymore.

I agree with this and I don't use a mobile.

I noticed that too. Always the same ones. It's unfair on lesser-known comics.

I'll give the staff their due, they seem much more responisive and fair than DeviantArt who are STILL trying to convince users that their 'Eclipse' thing is great. Tapas at least seem quicker and willing to listen.

As a reader AND a creator I find the site almost unusable now.

As far as I can see, all the 'more like this' does is promote stuff that's already super popular.

I don't even use any apps. I don't have a 'phone for it and have no desire to get one.

Colour me impressed then!

I've said this a few times, but there seems to be an odd belief that people only use 'phones for the internet nowadays. I still use a laptop/desktop because I cannot scan and edit comics on a 'phone and I'd be impressed if anyone could. Plus I want to see stuff bigger!

I thought I was the only one tired of them. All drawn in the same style too.

I can understand pop-ups on a mobile 'phone screen, where space is at a premium. But for desktops? No excuse for all that blank space.

Removing the series banners is just nuts.

I thought that too. Looks like a crude 'work-in-progress' site from 2 decades ago.

There seems to be a worrying growing trend of assuming everyone only uses mobile phones to access the internet and no other device. Forcing mobile-only designs onto all platforms makes my desktop and laptop look like they've discovered a crude website from the mid-90s. It also makes no sense for cre…
